Led by their dynamic senior point guard Noah Frayer, the Wildcats are 11-2, making waves with in-your-face defense and an offense that functions at a breakneck pace. Frayer’s control of the game is impressive, as he’s an exceptional defender with above-average ball-handling. His ability to navigate the floor effortlessly with either hand and relentless full-court press make him a force to be reckoned with every play.
Backing Frayer are versatile junior combo guards, Javeon Reed and Samson Anjorin, tenacious defenders who excel at keeping their opponents in check, paving the way for Arundel’s transition game to shine. In an era dominated by perimeter shooting, Arundel’s aggressive approach to attacking the rim sets them apart, allowing them to capitalize on high-percentage scoring opportunities.
Frayer and Anjorin’s sharpshooting abilities add another dimension to Arundel’s offensive arsenal, with Anjorin showing promising potential as a scorer and playmaker. Despite often operating off-ball due to the presence of Reed and Frayer, Anjorin’s versatility remains a valuable asset to team chemistry.
Reed’s knack for getting to the rim and adept playmaking skills allows the Wildcats to switch offensive strategies and give Frayer a rest. He’s undeterred by the presence of defenders in the paint making him an incredible slasher, albeit with room for refinement in decision-making. As a cohesive unit, Arundel’s suffocating defense fuels their transition game, compensating for their shortcomings in rebounding through collective effort.
While Arundel lacks a dominant presence in the paint, their relentless attacking style coupled with solid free-throw shooting ensures consistent scoring opportunities. Reed’s reliability from beyond the arc adds another dimension to their offensive strategy, complementing Frayer’s scoring prowess and Anjorin’s versatility.
Looking ahead, the Wildcats’ prospects in the upcoming playoffs appear promising, with Frayer poised to lead the charge. Between his talent for scoring in bunches and the other two’s playmaking and defensive acumen, Arundel poses a challenge for any opponent come March.
