The football awards continue to roll in, and some guys who are now fully invested in hoops are among the state's most decorated footballers. Here's a look at guys who recently received KSHSAA Top 33 honors:

First team:

Dylan Dunn, 6-foot-4 forward, 2024, Blue Valley Southwest:

The first-team quarterback is a rugged force in the paint, a big guy who can handle the ball and be a threat to score. He's playing a key supportive role for the Timberwolves, who are off to a nice 4-1 start.

[player_tooltip player_id='1378441' first='Gus' last='Hawkins'], 6-foot-8 center, 2024, Mill Valley:

The KSU-signee hasn't played a lot of minutes for the Jaguars yet this year. Will his role change after the break? Hawkins is a monstrous presence in the paint who has surprisingly skilled hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1270271' first='Tanner' last='Heckel'], 6-foot guard, 2024, Lyndon:

This guy transitioned smoothly from the gridiron to the hard court, exploding for impressive performances from day one. He's springy and athletic and an intense competitor. Without a lot of practice following their state football championship, the Tigers have steamrolled all six of their opponents.

JC Heim, 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Washburn Rural:

A one-man wrecking crew on the football field, Heim is just as physical and tough around the hoop for the Junior Blues. The team has gotten off to a tough start, but Heim will provide leadership to turn things around. He chips in offense, dominates the glass, is a physical defender and makes athletic plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580488' first='Jackson' last='Voth'], 5-foot-11 guard, 2024, Cheney:

Gamer. Voth makes plays regardless of the sport. He can light it up from deep, plays a physical style and is a clutch performer. Big games like Tuesday's meeting with undefeated Hesston are his element. He led all scorers with 15 in the win.

Second Team:

[player_tooltip player_id='1953932' first='Michael' last='Boganowski'], Junction City

Carter Hajek, Nemaha Central

[player_tooltip player_id='1403300' first='Roman' last='Hauser'], Norton

Kaedin Massey, Lyndon

Third Team:

Sammy Dresie, Maize South

[player_tooltip player_id='2169874' first='Brandon' last='Schmelzle'], Axtell
