Clovis
Cox had himself a beneficial game on both ends of the floor, active swatting away shots off the glass and contributing within the halfcourt offense. What stands out is his defensive timing, getting up just in time to block shots off the backboard with ease. Cox played a vital role grabbing rebounds on both ends, possessing a notable athletic advantage. Offensively, the forward provided a well rounded impact, contributing perimeter jumpers and skilled passes. From the top of the key, Cox repeatedly found backdoor cutters along the baseline, often in tight windows. When needed, he knocked down perimeter jumpers off the catch, willing when provided space. No wonder that Cox has received offers from Redlands CC and Northern New Mexico.
Parker provides plenty of energy on every possession, excellent getting up to swat away shot attempts. Comfortable playing at full speed, the guard’s tight handle allows him to maximize his natural quickness and immediate acceleration in the open floor.
JJ Jones
JJ Jones
Jones did well asserting himself on the offensive side, looking to attack immediately off the catch. Particularly proactive taking three’s or attacking the rim versus contact.
Max Roche
Max Roche
The sophomore had a powerful one-handed slam in the third quarter of this game, energizing the student section.
Organ Mountain
Wilson is a collegiate athlete plain and simple. Especially quick up and down the floor, he is a terror in transition, getting out much quicker than the vast majority of opponents. He has as much upside defending the perimeter as anyone in the state, given his long strides and wide reach. Complemented by quick instincts, he has been immense this season and throughout this matchup on help side defense. Versus a smaller opponent, Wilson was instrumental drawing in help side, where he was active making the extra pass to cutters.
Ryan Venegas
Ryan Venegas
Venegas has plenty of upside scoring in the mid-range, boasting a high release point at 6’4. Effective slowing down into quick trigger pull-ups, the forward got off to a hot start in this matchup. Venegas proved active on the defensive glass, particularly productive early on given his height and mobility.
The bruising forward constantly challenged his opposing defender, either on the glass or powering his way into the paint. His tireless motor created numerous second chance opportunities, particularly valuable getting opposing forwards into foul trouble early on.
Highlights
Washington was instrumental setting up the halfcourt offense with this group, patient with his tempo. Capable utilizing quick crossovers to create an immediate advantage for driving lanes, the guard helped set up shotmakers with open looks. Washington flashed verticality, getting dangerously close to a putback slam in the third quarter.

Be sure to not leave this guard open, he gets excellent elevation on the quick jumper, forcing hard closeouts from opposing perimeter defenders.
