Episcopal (Baton Rouge) overcame a slow start Tuesday at Southern Lab to take control in the second quarter by attacking and earning and converting free throws.

Senior guard T.J. Callahan, a recent Kentucky State commit, led the charge with 27 points, half of which came at the foul line.

"We just knew they were gonna be very aggressive and they were gonna come in with a lot of energy," Callahan said. "So we just had to match it. They came in, they hit us first, and we found our way back."

Noah Beckman — 6-2 F — Episcopal (2025)

The reserve big man helped punctuate the Knights' win with six of his eight points coming in the final minutes to help hold off the Kittens' rally attempts. He also grabbed three rebounds and dished out an assist.

Braylon Brown — 5-9 G — Southern Lab (2025)

T.J. Callahan — 6-0 G — Episcopal (2024)

The quick, springy guard did the bulk of his offensive damage attacking the lane, making a couple athletic finishes at the rim and getting to the line consistently and making the bulk of his opportunities. He also hit three of his five 3-pointers, showing range from well beyond the arc, and added two assists, a steal and a blocked shot to his stat line.

The biggest of the Kittens' guards in both height and build, Chapman did more of his scoring, for a team-high 17 points, in the lane. He also grabbed two rebounds and a steal and dished out an assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589545' first='Lance' last='Clark'] — 6-5 F — Episcopal (2024)

The Knights' big man, the tallest player on the court, finished with 12 points and seven rebounds, but arguably made his biggest impact with his length inside to block six shots and alter several others.

Cameron Hardnett — 5-10, 160 G — Southern Lab (2024)

The senior guard's biggest impact much of the night came with his active hands on the defensive end, including five steals and six rebounds, before scoring four of his eight points as a spark during a second-half run. He also added six rebounds, seeing to be in the right place at the right time on several ricocheting boards, and two assists.

Charles LeBlanc — 6-4 F — Southern Lab (2025)

The Kittens' big man finished with 14 points — largely working on his nine rebounds, but also turning an early post opportunity into a strong and-one play. He blocked three shots and snatched two steals.

Parks McMain — 5-9 G — Episcopal (2024)

The senior guard added 16 points — including 14 in the second half alone and one of the team's five 3's — and eight rebounds, two assists a blocked shot to Episcopal's winning effort.

Troy Murphy — 6-0 F — Southern Lab (2024)

Like LeBlanc, Murphy did a lot of his work on the offensive glass on a night on which he finished with eight points, 10 rebounds and a pair of steals.
