The best of the best from an amazing day of basketball that included four overtimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284127' first='Dominic' last='Fairbanks'] of Cass Lake-Bena (5'11 sr). The Fairbanks pull-up, step back, and quick first dribble to spots was unstoppable tonight. He made half of his 24 attempts including six threes and his four point play seemed to be the shot that led you know the Panthers would win. Fairbanks also had nine boards allowing his team to collect and run the floor quickly. His quickness was the difference in the game. He scored 35 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579917' first='Keller' last='Hanson'] of Sauk Rapids (6'4 jr). Hanson scored 33 against Fergus Falls two nights ago and then put up another 33 today at the Crossover Classic in Perham in a loss to Moorhead. The ever growing shooter playing lead guard, grabbed nine boards, made sure his teammates had comfortable attempts while scoring on 12 of 21 attempts of his own. Keller spread out his threes with six in half one and then three more the rest of the game. One of the elite shooters in the state who also plays lead guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103319' first='Alex' last='Lester'] of Nevis (6'8 jr). I think the two things that caught my attention the most were the intensity and the low post footwork. Lester was often an angry man and it led to the type of physical play that a coach wants, and some feisty play that coaches like but opposition will get mad about. His post moves have really improved. Lester had 18 points on 14 rebounds plus made six of eight foul shots with eight boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560827' first='Kale' last='Misegades'] of Henning (6'2 soph). As the game wore on, Misegades wore on his opponents. There was a back to back bucket stretch followed by a three that got him warmed up and then back to back threes that gave Henning the momentum. One of those threes was a huge momentum boost and then Kale put them game away with six late foul shots including the game winners with four seconds to go in overtime. Kale scored his 27 making three tripes, all eight foul shots, and 8 of 17 field goal attempts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2362574' first='DJ' last='Smith'] of Moorhead (6'3 sr). If you want to talk about a guy who might be under the radar as a prospect or a guy more people should know, let me tell you about [player_tooltip player_id='2362574' first='DJ' last='Smith']. He is 6'3, explosive, strong and he is having a strong senior season. Today he made a memory that will last a lifetime. Smith had a dozen at the break but once Zimmerman was not able to get his same looks Smith took over. And then Zimmerman fouled out and Smith put the team on his back. Smith hit four late game threes and before that was able to get to the rim on a constant attack. He scored 43 points with five threes shooting 17 of 27 and the last make was a 55 footer with his team down one to win the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284187' first='Micah' last='Strand'] (6'0 sr)and Dominic Zoa (6'1 sr) of Legacy Christian. Strand and Dominic Zoa have been an excellent combo and in the win over Hawley they dominated the guard play with 16 and 15 points respectively. Strand showed off that quick release and range that has him near 40 percent at the arc while Zoa has been brilliant all year shooting 42 percent at the arc, 47 percent overall and 86 percent from the foul line. The senior pair controlled the game and led their team to an 11-2 record for the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1419970' first='Brevin' last='Stoa'] of Hawley (6'3 sr). Stoa's combination of skill, size, agility and experience put twelve points on the board early. Hawley has a good sized line-up so Legacy Christian had to defend him with a guard/wing type that didn't have the size at times and Stoa took advantage. He had two early threes, a number of trips to the foul line and 22 points overall in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284094' first='Caiden' last='Swenby'] of Fertile-Beltrami (6'3 sr). Swenby did a lot of everything: attack to create, attack to score, intelligent ball movement, board domination, scoring with jumper, scoring on the attack. He is a strong and athletic 6-foot-3 that scored his 17 on 14 attempts plus Swenby grabbed 15 boards, dished out five assists, and completely locked up his man the other way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1434054' first='Dylan' last='Zimmerman'] of Moorhead (6'5 sr). Dylan opened the game showing off his potential as a shooter scoring 25 points in half one headlined by seven three point makes. Sauk Rapids changed up their defense limiting Dylan and then he fouled out with about 5-6 minutes to go in regulation. Overall though Zimmerman carried his team for some time scoring 32 points on 11 of 24 shooting before heading to the bench to watch the rest of a classic.

The best of the best from an amazing day of basketball that included four overtimes.
