Gavin Lutz has emerged as a top performer in District 10 with his do-it-all play. The senior guard has been a leader on both ends of the court.
Lutz utilizes his quickness to attack the basket off the dribble. He excels at finishing with either hand, especially when going left into the lane. Lutz also displays great court vision, dishing timely passes to open teammates. When he sets his feet, his shooting is smooth and consistent.
Where Lutz really shines is with his relentless hustle. He is a tenacious perimeter defender. Lutz is willing to sacrifice his body for the team, diving on the floor for loose balls or taking charges. His gritty, physical play sets the tone.
In a recent standout performance, Lutz scored in double digits against a strong Meadville team. He brings excellent effort and fundamentals every night. His hustle and hard work make him a valuable leader and difference-maker.
Braylon Barnes
Braylon Barnes
Braylon Barnes has been leading the Dragon’s charge this season. The talented senior guard put up 26 points in a game against Bradford and recently committed to continue his career at La Roche University.
Barnes utilizes exceptional body control to maneuver through traffic and finish at the rim. He excels at attacking the paint off the bounce, with a quick first step blowing by defenders. Barnes maintains great balance to convert difficult shots in the lane.
He’s also a consistent threat from the outside when he sets his feet. His ability to knock down 3-pointers stretches the defense.
Averaging 18 points per game this season, Barnes can take over as a scorer while still keeping his teammates involved. He plays with great pace and makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands. Barnes’ multifaceted offensive game and court vision make him a matchup nightmare. Look for him to have an immediate impact at the next level for La Roche.
Tyler Grove
Tyler Grove
Tyler Grove has emerged as a top performer in District 10 with his dynamic scoring ability. Grove has a quick shooting release and excels as a spot-up shooter. He’s also dangerous off the dribble, able to pull up smoothly from the perimeter. Grove plays above the rim, powering through traffic to finish emphatic dunks.
His combination of size, athleticism, and skill is Division II caliber. Grove attacks the basket with force but can finesse his way through the lane using the Euro step to avoid contact when needed. He’s an excellent rebounder on the offensive glass, skying for put-back dunks on missed shots.
In addition to his scoring prowess, Grove displays a solid all-around game. He possesses strong ball handling ability and uses shot fakes effectively. In a recent dominant performance, Grove poured in 29 points against Brashear.
With his fundamentals and multidimensional offensive game, Grove has established himself as a premier player in District 10. Division II schools need to take note and offer ASAP.
Jaheim Mims
Jaheim Mims
Jaheim Mims’ recent performances have highlighted his capabilities, making him a player to watch in District 10.Mims’ shooting prowess, particularly from three-point range, sets him apart. His ability to consistently hit deep shots, even when contested, is a testament to his abilities. Defenders have learned the hard way that leaving him open is risky, as he can effectively score from long distances, even with a hand in his face.On defense, Mims demonstrates equally impressive abilities. His quick hands and aggressive style make him a formidable defender. He excels at jumping passing lanes and poking the ball away from opponents.Mims is exceptional in fast break scenarios. He possesses excellent court vision and makes smart decisions with the ball. His ability to see the floor well during fast-paced situations enables him to either finish plays himself or set up his teammates for high-percentage shots.In terms of physical attributes, Mims has a robust build combined with good size and speed, making him a versatile player who can handle various roles on the court. His strength is a key factor in his play style. He doesn’t get pushed.

Archie Murphey showcases a range of skills that have significantly contributed to his team’s success. One of Murphey’s most notable strengths is his ability as a spot-up shooter. His shooting form is smooth and efficient, and he is consistent.
