Berks Catholic (8-0): The Saints graduated all-world guard Josiah Jordan so many hoop heads thought BC would fall of in 2023-24. But they have found remarkable success this season behind their three-guard lineup of standout “big” guard Josh McKoy Josh McKoy 6'5" | PG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA , his younger brother Kingston McKoy Kingston McKoy 6'3" | PG Berks Catholic | 2026 State PA (point guard) and lethal shooting guard Parker Nein Parker Nein 6'2" | SG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA . Over the first month of this season BC has put up several big scoring totals including 80 points against Octorara and 77 vs. Trinity.
Chester (7-1): After a disappointing 12-10 finish in 2022-23, expectations were low for this Chester squad. However, the senior trio of Dante Atkinson, Dominic Toy Dominic Toy 6'5" | PF Chester | 2024 State PA (UConn football commit) and Calvin Williams had other ideas. Atkinson has displayed his three level scoring abilities while posting 10.2 ppg. He recently dropped 18 (2 threes) on Abington. Meanwhile Toy and Williams are two 6’5” athletes who score in transition and on the interior. 2025 prospect Dallas Thompson has frequently produced double-digits as well.
Imhotep Charter (8-2): The graduation of McDonald’s All-American Justin Edwards (Kentucky) had many “experts” thinking ‘Tep would take a step back this season. Well, they are out to an 8-0 record vs. in state competition. Their two losses have come on the national stage at the Arby’s Classics (TN). Early on Ahmad Nowell Ahmad Nowell 6'0" | PG Imhotep Charter | 2024 State #36 Nation PA (UConn commit) has been dominant, posting several 30+ point games. Zaahir Muhammad-Gray Zaahir Muhammad-Gray 6'5" | SF Imhotep Charter | 2026 State PA is experiencing his breakout season and is now a walking double-double. Ma’Kye Taylor Ma’Kye Taylor 6'7" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA (Albany commit), Carnell Henderson Carnell Henderson 6'5" | SF Imhotep Charter | 2025 State PA and Jeremiah White Jeremiah White 6'6" | PF Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA have been key contributors as well.
Methacton (8-2): The Warriors graduated a host of talented prospects last June. Thus, a slight step back from their successful 2022-23 season would not have been a shocking. However, sophomore guard Christian Matos Christian Matos 6'1" | CG Methacton | 2026 State PA has emerged as a rising star and provided a tremendous scoring punch. The quick lefty with a watery 3-point stroke recently posted 26 points (3 threes) against Wissahickon. The senior trio of Alex Hermann Alex Hermann 6'3" | CG Methacton | 2024 State PA , Anthony Daddazio and Sal Iemmello Sal Iemmello 5'11" | CG Methacton | 2025 State PA continue to play at their usual high-level. Additionally, 2026 guard Mason Conrad has emerged as a contributor.
Roman Catholic (10-0): Roman’s recovery from the loss of their decorated 2023 class is going faster than expected because power forward Shareef Jackson Shareef Jackson 6'9" | C Roman Catholic | 2025 State #249 Nation PA has been an absolute monster – 17.8 points; 10.3 rebounds per game and 57% shooting from the field. Roman also has three guards in Sebastian Edwards (46% on 3PA), Hunter Johnson Hunter Johnson 6'2" | SG Roman Catholic | 2025 State PA (39% on 3s) and Travis Reed Jr Travis Reed Jr 6'4" | SG Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA . who are averaging 10 points per contest. Senior guard Robert Cottrell Robert Cottrell 6'0" | CG Roman Catholic | 2024 State PA has developed into the top 6th men in the area. A big test awaits this group on Friday night as they take the court against Archbishop Wood which features all-state level prospects Jalil Bethea Jalil Bethea 6'4" | SG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State #5 Nation PA and Josh Reed Josh Reed 6'3" | CG Archbishop Wood | 2024 State PA .
