Matthew Zobrist Matthew Zobrist 6'5" | SG Metamora | 2025 State IL (Metamora)
Previous Ranking: #78
Current Ranking: #11
Zobrist made a massive leap in our latest update. How about 67 spots to be specific. Last season Zobrist was a solid role player that hit an open shot and played within himself. After not seeing him all summer Zobrist has greatly improved. He has grown vertically, and his skill set has expanded. Has an absolute flamethrower with his lefty shot from three along with showing versatility on the offensive end along with being a plus defender.
Brent Taylor Brent Taylor 6'3" | SG Lincoln Way East | 2025 State IL (Lincoln Way East)
Previous Ranking: #82
Current Ranking: #26
Taylor also made a huge jump gaining 56 spots in the newest rankings. He was outstanding at the Prep Hoops Top 250 camp as the wiry two guard got to the rim with his athleticism and has a great first step. Also can really shoot it from the perimeter with a feathery stroke. When we saw him for LWE in December he was their go to threat getting buckets in bunches.
TJ Seals TJ Seals 6'5" | SF Johnson Prep | 2025 State IL (Johnson)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #34
Seals is the latest undiscovered prospect from a small Chicago public school from PHI ace scout Steve Parham. Seals is a 6’5” power wing that really passes the rock. Strong driver that gets downhill with force and is quick to the glass for second chance points. Fluid jump shooter and big time threat in transition.
Leshawn Stowers Leshawn Stowers 6'4" | SF Peoria | 2025 State IL (Peoria)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #36
Stowers is another prospect that went from role player last year to star. We saw some flashes as a sophomore, but played a much smaller part for his team. After not seeing him during the summer he has made significant growth in his game as the 6’4” lengthy wing has a great build. Very good defender that can check multiple spots getting blocks and steals. Posts up smaller opponents and powers his way into the lane for scores. Flashes as a shooter. Like what he showed as a passer when we saw him as well from his wing spot.
Chayse Turner Chayse Turner 6'4" | SF Lincoln Park | 2025 State IL (Lincoln Park)
Previous Ranking: #101
Current Ranking: #47
Lincoln Park has had a big season and a big part of that is Turner. The long and rangy small forward has a lot of tools that you have to like. Inside/outside threat that can post up or put it on the deck with his long strides and burst with the rock.
Braden Freeman Braden Freeman 6'6" | SF Moline | 2025 State IL (Moline)
Previous Ranking: #71
Current Ranking: #51
Freeman is the man for Moline after they graduated their two Iowa Hawkeyes. The younger Freeman is a skilled wing with toughness. Creative ball handler that can win on drives and rebounds well for his position.
Tyler Smith Tyler Smith 6'2" | SG Wheaton Academy | 2025 State IL (Wheaton Academy)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #65
Smith was a breakout player at the Prep Hoops Top 250. The 6’2” two guard impacts on both ends. Defensively he gets steals and blocks turning them into points in transition. Good athlete that gets to the cup in the half court or transition. Solid three point shot as well especially off the catch.
