Terre Haute North beats West Vigo for a 29th straight time
A very impressive winning streak stayed alive last night in Vigo county. The Terre Haute North Patriots went down the road to face the West Vigo Vikings and were able to extend a winning streak of 29-straight when they defeated West Vigo 49-37. Terre Haute North’s Kavish Reddy Kavish Reddy 6'3" | SG Terre Haute North Vigo | 2024 State IN lead the team with 13 points and Kam Baker added 10 points as well. West Vigo shooting guard Zeke Tanoos Zeke Tanoos 6'4" | SG West Vigo | 2024 State IN had a game-high 18 points and Garrett Pugh added 12 points for the Vikings. Terre Haute North improved their record to 3-2 on the season while West Vigo sits at 3-3 on the year. The Patriot’s travel to Bloomington North on 12/15 next.
Pendleton Heights upsets Guerin Catholic
While it may be a 4A win over a 3A team, this was still probably the biggest upset of the night. In a game that went right down to the wire, Pendleton Heights was able to squeak out a tough win over the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles 49-48 with the Arabians’ junior guard Evan Mozingo Evan Mozingo 6'2" | SG Pendleton Heights | 2025 IN getting a huge game-winning block to ceil the game. The Golden Eagles came into this game as the top ranked team in Class 3A. Monzigo led the Arbains with 11 points and 4 rebound while Seth LaRavia Seth LaRavia 6'6" | PF Pendelton Heights | 2024 State IN added 10 points. This was the second straight win for Pendleton Heights and they will look to extend it three-straight wins when they travel to Liberty Christian on 12/16.
Valparaiso gets OT road win over Gary 21st.
Last night saw an exciting matchup up in northern Indiana with Valparaiso getting a big OT road win over Gary 21st Century. While the game was a back-and-forth battler, the Vikings of Valparaiso exploded once overtime hit winning 68-54. 2025 guard Jack Smiley Jack Smiley 6'2" | PG Valparaiso | 2025 State IN was without question the best player on the floor here and arguably the best player in the state last night with a extremely impressive 35 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. With the win, the Viking improve to 4-2 on the season while Gary 21st Century falls to 2-3. Valparaiso is currently riding a 3-game inning streaking will look to extend that when they host Elkhart on 12/16 next.
