With the high school season in full swing, it's time to take a look at some of the top available and underrated seniors in the state. Here's a look at part one of some of the best unsigned players in the Hampton Roads area.

[player_tooltip player_id='2232330' first='Alonso' last='Easterling'] | 6'10” C | Peninsula Catholic

Easterling transferred to PC from Fayetteville Academy in NC this year, and has already made a name for himself with an offer from Hampton not too long ago. The 6'10” big man is the new school style big coaches look for as he can stretch the floor from deep with dead eye accuracy, he can put it on the deck and gets to the pull-up well and he can protect the rim as a defender too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1117676' first='Josiah' last='Rickards'] | 6'3” CG | Catholic

Rickards has been a standout at Catholic for the past three seasons and is off to a hot start this year, and it's hard to figure out why he isn't being recruited more than he is now. He's an all-around guard who can play on or off the ball, he makes plays for himself and others, he scores the ball efficiently and makes tough shots from all three levels and he makes it look easy with his smooth style of play.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372027' first='Rodney' last='Baines'] | 6'8” PF | Lake Taylor

Baines has been one of the biggest stock risers in the 757 over the past few years, and he has really expanded his game from being an anchor in the post to being a mismatch with his ability to play inside-out. He's a load to deal with in the paint as he can outmuscle defenders and finish with either hand around the rim, he can step out on the perimeter and knock down shots and he's a monster on the glass on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489067' first='Jordan' last='Watlington'] | 6'4” WF | Menchville

Watlington has had a huge start to his senior season as the go-to guy for this new look Menchville team, and he's the type of player that will come in and impact winning immediately in many different ways. He can play on the ball and push it in transition where he can make plays for himself and others, he plays with a great motor as a rebounder and defender and he can score the ball from different spots and in different ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260001' first='Ben' last='Nacey'] | 6'8” C | Cox

Nacey was perhaps the best player in the Beach last season and he's wasted no time making his claim for Beach District Player of the Year this season as well with multiple impressive double-doubles already. The 6'8” big man is a throwback style big who can bury guys deep in the paint and use his size to finish over either shoulder, he's an excellent offensive rebounder who gets easy buckets in second chance opportunities and he gets to the line often where he converts at a high clip.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580801' first='Malik' last='Johnson'] | 6'4” PG | Hampton

Johnson spent last year playing at the post grad level with Massanutten before transferring back home to Hampton, and he improved a lot over the last year making him one of the top guards on the Peninsula. He's a downhill attacking guard who is shifty off the bounce and has good burst, he's an excellent finisher through contact and he makes his teammates better with his vision and playmaking ability.
