A single game and a single win. Brainerd was an exceptional team last year, advancing to state with multiple senior starters. Brainerd is not the same in 2023-2024, but neither is East Nashville after graduating several stars. The young Eagles are finding ways to win with new players.

played exceptional in the road win at Hunters Lane. His team handled a fast, pressuring defense and improved to 4-0 on the season to that point. The loss versus White House was and is their one blemish on an otherwise flawless season.
Cooper was a steady, dominating defensive rebounder. He defended the Hunters Lane layups without fouling too. Westmoreland entered the gym undefeated at 3-0. Thanks to Cooper and several seniors they collected themselves after an atrocious first couple of minutes, down 8-0. The Warrior pressure became manageable after they settled in.
Top Monday ForwardsCooper hit a corner three-pointer to bring it to 14-12 early in the second quarter. He collected a big defensive rebound on the ensuing possession and made 1-2 from 12′ to even the score quickly thereafter, 14-14.
