It is time to feature frontcourt players. Monday a handful played very well.

Cooper Abner Cooper Abner 6'7" | PF Westmoreland | 2024 State TN was a steady, dominating defensive rebounder. He defended the Hunters Lane layups without fouling too. Westmoreland entered the gym undefeated at 3-0. Thanks to Cooper and several seniors they collected themselves after an atrocious first couple of minutes, down 8-0. The Warrior pressure became manageable after they settled in.
Cooper hit a corner three-pointer to bring it to 14-12 early in the second quarter. He collected a big defensive rebound on the ensuing possession and made 1-2 from 12′ to even the score quickly thereafter, 14-14.
Later in the quarter Cooper hit ’em with a drop step into a righty baby hook. So smooth.
An offensive rebound off of a Preston King Preston King 6'5" | SF Westmoreland | 2024 State TN miss brought it to 39-29 late in the third quarter as the hosting Warriors attempted to claw back into the game.

Lithe faceup four. King was instrumental in Westmoreland’s fourth win. King scored with poise around the basket.
King and Cooper Abner Cooper Abner 6'7" | PF Westmoreland | 2024 State TN competed well together in high-low scenarios.
Julian Brinkley (Hunters Lane)
Though he was not consistently effective, Julian showed enough to be a player to watch. Slender. A little springy. Needs to develop touch around the rim.
Rowan Mactavish (C.P.A.)
Senior Rowan Mactavish was active in the lane and as a rebounder. C.P.A. is not a big team, but they rebound effectively with the right technique and positioning. Rowan is a big part of that.
