This was undoubtedly the most difficult week to rank teams given the fact there were a handful of upsets and out-of-state losses to account for. As of now, Normal hangs on to the top spot after a close win to Peoria Manual, who remains in the rankings after tight losses to both Normal and Peoria Richwoods.
After knocking off Downers Grove North, Curie climbs all the way to #3. Will Gonzalez Will Gonzalez 6'5" | SF Curie | 2024 State IL has been a highly impactful transfer for the Condors while Carlos Harris Carlos Harris 6'1" | SG Curie | 2024 State #283 Nation IL continues to show flashes of brilliance at the point guard position. Their only loss was to an out-of-state opponent and they’ve blown out in-state opponents on a continuous basis. Another school making a top-10 debut is Brother Rice. They knocked off Bloom in a triple-OT thriller at Mt. Carmel while sitting at 9-0 on the season. Xavier Fitch continues to evolve for the Crusaders and picked up a whopping 15 rebounds against Bloom.
Four new teams join the rankings this week. Sitting at 8-0, Collinsville climbs all the way up to #20 with a win over East St Louis. Not far below is Rich Township. The Raptors took Thornton to OT and knocked off Simeon his week. Only a Sophomore, Jamson Coulter Jamson Coulter 6'2" | SG Rich Township | 2026 State IL is evolving into a dynamic two-way prospect for RT that’s one of the top players in his class. After upsetting Metamora, 7-1 Morton (IL) joins the rankings with 8-0 Waubonsie Valley.
