The [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] Shootout over the weekend allowed PHI to check out some of the better talent from the Chicagoland area. Now we examine the prospects that did the best including here in [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] Shootout: Top 2024 Performers Pt 2!

[player_tooltip player_id='1373451' first='Jurrell' last='Baldwin'] (Hyde Park)

Baldwin will most likely be the highest ranked uncommitted prospect when our January 2024 update comes out. He has size for position, a strong frame, and can get buckets. Against Leo he had 20 points draining an array of feathery jumpers from two and three along with overpowering defenders off the bounce. Struggles defensively and would like to see more of a motor, but the tools are all there for him to be a D1 player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598709' first='Germaine' last='Benson'] (Hyde Park)

Benson is a strong bodied combo guard that is Robin to Baldwin's Batman on Hyde Park. He has been a productive guard for a number of years already and as a senior that continues to be the case. Went for 15 points against Leo getting to the rack and foul line on numerous occasions. Small college/JUCO prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1488791' first='Carson' last='Brownfield'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

Brownfield is a strong bodied southpaw wing that plays with a lot of strength. Finishes well around the rim and has some nifty footwork on his moves at the cup especially on spins. Can knock in a mid-range jumper and is a good wing rebounder. He had 12 points. Seems like a guy that if he goes JUCO can elevate his stock with more refinement.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750706' first='Donald' last='Hagemaster'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

Hagemaster is committed to Lewis. The wide bodied five man was the most effective we have seen him this season in this game getting on the boards on both ends of the floor rebounding very well against St. Ignatius. Rim ran and played tough defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157209' first='Will' last='Gonzalez'] (Curie)

Gonzalez is such a long and rangy defender that has been an ideal addition to this year's Curie squad. Steals and blocks all over the floor, excellent in transition, and continues to show he is a capable shot maker. He had 12 points. One of the better wings still on the board.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157211' first='Carlos' last='Harris'] (Curie)

Harris is a powerfully built combo guard that will play his college ball at UIC. He took a beating in the game against DGN as he was thrown all over the place and took hard bumps getting in the lane including one where he was down for a couple minutes. As always the tough Chicago guard got back up and kept going scoring in the paint and defending at a high level while scoring 8 points. Make no mistake he is the heart and soul of this Curie squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157229' first='Taevion' last='Collier'] (Curie)

Collier is starting to put together a nice senior campaign for himself. The big man knocked in baseline mid-range jumpers, played through contact getting to the line where he made them at a nice clip. Also rebounded very well on both ends. Can see small colleges and JUCOs starting to push for him!

[player_tooltip player_id='1285524' first='Jack' last='Stanton'] (Downers Grove North)

The Princeton commit is one of the top seniors in the state. Elite shooter that showed flashes of that against Curie. Didn't have an all-out assault from deep, but made three of them. Really like how well he moves without the ball to get open and transitions from catch to shot while keeping consistent mechanics. Hit some tough turnaround jumpers and overall showed a lot of toughness recording 19 points in a loss to Curie.

[player_tooltip player_id='1507492' first='Alex' last='Miller'] (Downers Grove North)

Miller is another sharp shooter that does his damage off movement. Coach Thomas does an excellent job of getting him in spots off the catch where he can hit shots from three as he nailed a trio against Curie for his 9 points. Quality size for position that will be a nice fit at the D2 or small college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104984' first='Samar' last='Bures'] (Rich Township)

Bures is a blur with the ball in his hands. Pushes with a ton of speed in the open floor attacking and getting to the foul line on a regular basis. Quick hands on the defensive end and is a good passer. Dropped the dime of the weekend to his teammate for a big dunk while scoring 11 points of his own. Look for a small college or JUCO to grab him late.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750703' first='Victor' last='Brown'] (Rich Township)

Brown is a pogo stick athlete that impressed us over the summer with Illinois Stars showing off his athleticism and explosiveness. Had the play of the weekend on a poster transition dunk! Rim runs and is a good shot blocker. Only scored 6 points, but left a major impact on the game. Small colleges and JUCO's get on Brown as he will be an impactful guy.
