The [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] Shootout over the weekend allowed PHI to check out some of the better talent from the Chicagoland area. Now we examine the prospects that did the best including here in [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] Shootout: Top 2024 Performers Pt 1!

[player_tooltip player_id='1750599' first='Je'Shawn' last='Stevenson'] (Lindblom)

Stevenson is making a strong case to put his name in the Player of the Year race. Good showing at CEC, followed by beating Kenwood, then on Saturday he dropped 35 points in a dominant performance leading his team to a win over Lincoln Way East. Strong bodied scorer is a sound three point shooter pulling up or off the catch draining four of them in the win. Also got downhill regularly, to the foul line, and used his anticipation on the defensive end to get steals going the other way. He has signed with Cleveland State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373436' first='Angelo' last='Ciaravino'] (Mt. Carmel)

The Northwestern commit is among the top 5 players in the state. Combo forward with excellent size and major athletic pop. High level shot maker that drained a trio from deep along with putting it on the deck and crashing the offensive glass. He had 15 points against Hillcrest, but could have scored much more if needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285519' first='Stefan' last='Cicic'] (Riverside Brookfield)

Cicic is a true five man with a strong frame and legit height at almost 7-feet. He is a solid offensive rebounder that could be better at going after them on the defensive end. What we like about him is how he always garners deep post position on the block and has quick and assertive moves with soft touch around the hoop. Finishes out of the dunker spot. Was really impressed with how well he passed it out of the high post against TF North finding cutters along with dishes out of the post to shooters. Solid shot blocker that clogs up the lane defensively. He had 11 points and 5 blocks. Projects as a low-major prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373439' first='Shaheed' last='Solebo'] (Lane Tech)

Solebo is one of the top scorers in the Chicago area. The Lane Tech bucket getter just gets stuff done on the offensive end. Lefty can score effectively from all three levels with his handles winning on straight line takes on the regular while also showing some shake. Knocks in a couple threes a game and rebounds well. The unsigned senior had 25 points. Low-majors looking for a microwave scorer this would be a great find!

[player_tooltip player_id='2318145' first='Elijah' last='Allen'] (Bloom)

First look at this international prospect and wow was he impressive! Jumps off the floor with his super high motor and ability to impact the game in a variety of ways at 6'6”. Snatches rebounds in traffic, blocked shots, and had several steals. Explosive second jump. Offensively liked the sweeping hook shot, getting on the offensive glass, and playing off his energy. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds. He has JUCO or prep school written all over him as with more development he could be a D1 guy down the road with the tools all being there, just needing some refinement. A D2 could jump on him now as well!

[player_tooltip player_id='1373444' first='Zavier' last='Fitch'] (Brother Rice)

One of the best frontcourt athletes still on the board Fitch is uber bouncy with an explosive second jump. He was a monster on the glass against Bloom while being efficient with his touches finishing out of the dunker spot and taking it from the mid-post. Raw athlete that lacks great skill, but there is developmental potential there. Love what he brings on the glass, defensively, and as a finisher. The potential D2 prospect had 9 points and 15 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1436161' first='Cale' last='Cosme'] (Brother Rice)

The Lewis commit is the ultimate floor general in the class of 2024. Small in stature, but big in impact on the floor. He gets in the lane for soft touch finishes and hit a three late. Finished with 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2374557' first='Leon' last='Cooks'] (TF North)

Cooks is a new name that jumped on our radar at the event. The 6'4” wing has a thick body and long arms. Scored in the post on a hook shot, played bully ball down hill sometimes too much, and was a decent shooter. Showed flashes defensively including an LBJ chase down block. Look for him to find a home at the JUCO level where he can continue to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1428948' first='Ryan' last='Runaas'] (Lemont)

Runaas had a very good game for Lemont against Lane Tech on Saturday. Combo that can play on and off the ball. Did most of his damage in the lane on soft touch finishes while showing decent passing feel and hit a pair of threes en route to 15 points. D3 and NAIA programs should get involved here!

[player_tooltip player_id='1157221' first='James' last='Bullock'] (Marian Catholic)

Bullock is one of the better big men remaining on the board in the 2024 class. It wasn't a dominant game from him by any means, but there were definitely flashes shown. Like his length and mobility on the defensive end. Rim runs well getting up and down the floor fluidly, had a put back, and stepped out for a three. D2 prospect at this stage that could decide to go JUCO to elevate his stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='2318232' first='Jonah' last='Weathers'] (Marian Catholic)

New name here in Weathers. The wing has long arms and a good frame. Bullies his way off the bounce to the basket. Solid wing rebounder and flashed touch on a shot hitting one from three and another from mid-range while netting 9 points. Small college/JUCO prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2318171' first='Morgan' last='Brown'] (Evanston)

Liked what we saw out of Brown in this one. Undersized four that brings good strength and skill to the table. Can stretch effectively with his shot making to out beyond the three point arc draining a trio of them along with a nice baseline take en route to 13 points. Worth investing some time in for small colleges as his skill set would fit perfectly at that level.
