He proved once again why on Saturday. It was a jam-packed gym that was electric and this took his game to another level. He put on a show with a plethora of threes and a couple of dunks. He won't fill the scoreboard up but he will always have an impact on the game. On the defensive end, he is someone that will lock you down. His lateral quickness and length give him the tools to be a defensive nightmare. He uses a lot of his energy on this end. He is a good talker as well. He creates turnovers and doesn't let your offense run smoothly. As a freshman, he is the point guard who gets Taft's offense going. Torbert has a really good handle and shiftiness to his game that makes it almost impossible to stay in front of him. Once he is there he can hurt you by getting buckets or passing to the open guy. He often passes his teammates open too.
