In the first three games, Ritenour defeated Madison (IL), Montgomery County defeated SLUH and John Burroughs defeated Tolton.
We saw some pretty good forwards in those three games. Here is a look at those standout frontcourt players.
Sheek Pearson Sheek Pearson 6'9" | PF John Burroughs | 2026 State MO (John Burroughs): The 6’9″ 2026 forward had an outstanding performance at both ends of the court in the victory over Tolton. He used his length and timing to block and alter shots without fouling. He’s a very skilled young big who was handling the ball and passing it well in the high-low offense. He also has some impressive finishes inside off the offensive boards and on a couple of alley-oop dunks. He has already received offers from school such as Missouri and Iowa State.

Clayton Parker Clayton Parker 6'8" | PF Montgomery County | 2025 State MO (Montgomery County): The 6’8″ 2025 forward scored 18 points in the Wildcats impressive victory over SLUH. He is one of the most highly skilled bigs in the state and he showed why on Saturday, especially in the first half. He has a feathery touch in the paint to go along with his variety of inside moves. He was also stepping out and knocking down 3-pointers on the pick and pop.

Javar Galbreath Javar Galbreath 6'5" | PF Father Tolton | 2024 State MO (Father Tolton): The 6’5″ 2024 forward scored 16 points against John Burroughs on Saturday. He is a hard-working player whose motor never stopped running throughout the game. He used his physical strength to get buckets in the low post and he was also attacking the basket off the dribble very effectively. He is also a strong rebounder. When the Trailblazers were making their second-half run from a double-digit deficit, he was in the middle of it with his excellent work in the middle of the full court pressure defense.

Tristan Reed Tristan Reed 6'8" | PF John Burroughs | 2026 State MO (John Burroughs): A 6’8″ 2026 forward who was saddled with a little foul trouble in the first half. But when he was it the game, he was a force as a rebounder and shot blocker. When he establishes his position inside, he can score with a nice power move in traffic. He also threw down a couple of power dunks on the back end of his team breaking the full court press. He’s a big, physical player who also runs the court very well.

Landon Pace (SLUH)): A 6’4″ 2025 forward who had an impressive performance with 20 points against Montgomery County. The son of NFL Hall of Fame lineman Orlando Pace, Landon is a physically strong kid with a nice offensive skill set. He was on point from 3-point range as he knocked down four triples in the game. He was very good in the pick and pop. He is also a skilled ball handler who can create matchup problems for taller players who are trying to defend him.

Will Fretwell (Father Tolton): A 6’7″ 2024 forward who has improved to become a big factor for the Trailblazers. He’s an athletic kid who has good mobility and athleticism. He jumped the passing lanes one for a steal which led to a transition dunk for himself. He has good bounce around the basket for offensive rebounds. He also made a pair of 3-pointers off the catch.
