Providence Christian Hosts Speedy Riverdale High

Two Murfreesboro teams met Monday night with Providence Christian Academy defeating Riverdale High. 70-45.

Preston Wade Preston Wade 6'10" | PF Providence Christian Academy | 2025 TN (PCA) challenged Gray Turek Gray Turek 6'6" | PF Riverdale | 2024 State TN up top. Both are tall players, though Wade's arms are likely a bit longer. Riverdale does not have much height, especially at the guard spot.

The hosting Lions expanded the lead to 33-16. Wade lofted an alley-oop to a streaking Aiden Bolden Aiden Bolden 6'5" | SF FL . Unfortunately for the Lions the pass was too long for Bolden to make a decent layup attempt, so he passed it back to Wade. Wade finished a unchallenged layup.

Tryce Grensing Tryce Grensing 6'0" | PG Providence Christian Academy | 2025 State TN hit a difficult three-pointer early in the second half to firmly establish the first half was not an accident. Then, seconds later, Preston Wade Preston Wade 6'10" | PF Providence Christian Academy | 2025 TN buried a follow-up three-pointer.

Riverdale High's best segment occurred in the last minutes of the third quarter. They found their fire, their crispness. The game was not closed to an actionable margin, but RHS did look solid attacking and getting into danger areas.

Wade rose up to meet Turek again, partially deflecting a two-handed dunk attempt. The effort and execution were tremendous. Wade again denied Turek an ordinarily certain two points.

The quarter ended with PCA up, 59-33.

PCA sat their starters most of the fourth quarter with the lead comfortably in-hand. Craig Lewis II Craig Lewis II 5'10" | PG/SG Tennessee Heat | 2025 State TN , former PrepHoopsTN Combine Co-MVP, ran a less efficient offense with the second unit. He checked out with 1:49 left. Riverdale pulled their top guys too at that point.
