Prep Hoops Florida will be highlighting some of the notable recruits who deserve recognition. Let’s get into some of the Playmaking Dimers with stats and breakdowns.
Early Season Outlook: Purple Dimer Badge
Damon Folds Damon Folds 5'7" | PG Morningside | 2024 FL | G | 2024 | Morningside Academy | @dskinsballer3
2023 stats: 12.9 PPG – 9.0 assists – 4.2 rebounds – 2.2 steals
No matter the size, the 5-10 senior Morningside product is a magician with the rock in his hands. He led the state in assists for 2024s with 9.3 per game (250 total) during his junior season and looks ready to generate some interest around his recruitment heading this year with 9.0 assists through 13 games.
MA: 10-3
Spencer Clayton Spencer Clayton 6'3" | PG Barron Collier | 2025 FL | PG | 2025 | Barron Collier | @Spencer1Clayton
2023 stats: 14.7 PPG – 7.1 assists – 4.9 rebounds – 2.7 steals
College coaches looking for a decent framed 6-3 combo guard that can shoot lights out but also make it happen with his passing ability, you have to get eyes on Clayton who has doing it all for Barron Collier to start the new season. Really impressed with his offensive scoring skill set and he’s really improved his vision to find teammates.
Barron Collier: 8-2
Samuel Shoptaw Samuel Shoptaw 6'2" | PG Windermere Prep | 2025 State FL | CG | 2025 | Windermere Prep | @ShoptawSamuel
2023 stats: 10.1 PPG – 6.0 assists – 6.4 rebounds
Shoptaw has been an immediate addition to the Windermere Prep basketball program. He’s provided decent scoring production but we’re highlighting this kid’s ability to create with the passing game. He’s up to 6.0 assists per game this season, good enough to lead the team. Shoptaw is an impact player who will be paying attention to as WP attempts to make consecutive state championship runs.
Giordan Easley | CG | 2025 | Cypress Lake | @G2Easley
2023 stats: 19.0 PPG – 5.9 assists – 3.2 steals
Easley has been on my radar since the off-season. He’s one of the few true point guard prospects who displays good floor general aspects to his game and handles the rock well for the offense. He has a solid jumper as well, but the overall basketball IQ and multiple assists are what stand out when watching his game.
Cypress Lake: 7-3
Amari Nealy Amari Nealy 6'4" | SF Dwyer | 2024 State FL | CG | 2024 | Dwyer | @amari_nealy30
2023 stats: 16.7 PPG –
Nealy is having a solid senior season as he put up 30 points, 12 assists, and 12 rebounds in Dwyer’s previous matchup. Had to add his name to the list because he deserves the recognition. The 6-4 senior combo guard is set for a crucial year where he can generate some college interest.
