Devin Askew
Devin Askew
Princess Anne jumped out to a massive lead against Justice and cruised the rest of the way. Their backcourt impressed me, and one-half of that duo was Senior guard Devin Askew. Like the rest of this Princess Anne team, Devin was outstanding on defense and always kept his man in front of him. He was excellent on offense, knocking down jump shots and having some aggressive takes to the rim.
Styles Clemmons Styles Clemmons 6’2″ | PG Princess Anne | 2026 State VA was the other half of this Princess Anne backcourt, and he was my player of the game. Styles has had a great tournament and capped it with an excellent performance. Styles knocked down some shots early and had his way offensively all day. He attacked the rim and did well as a facilitator. Styles is crafty, a good athlete, and very well-built for a sophomore. He has a few division one offers, and you can see why very quickly.
Highlights
Taj Sandhu
Taj Sandhu
Junior guard Taj Sandhu had a really impressive day. Taj is a terrific shooter; if he has any air space, he is a threat to rise and shoot it. Freedom had a big third quarter after falling behind by 7 because of the offense from Taj Sandhu. He knocked down tough threes and took what the defense gave him. He had a one-legged fadeaway off of a drive in the third quarter that showed he’s more than just a guy hunting for threes. Taj is a gifted scorer, and at around 6’3, he’s a tough cover with his guard skills. He finished with 22 and a freedom win.
Isaac Bell
Isaac Bell
Isaac Bell was the best player on the day. He dominated the championship game against Fairfax. Isaac’s movement off the ball and relentlessness in the paint was essential to his big game. Isaac hit a few threes early, then went to work inside. McLean completely dominated the second half after a very competitive first half, which has to do with Isaac’s play. He finished with 24 en route to McLean, winning the tournament.
Caf Eaton
Caf Eaton
Senior guard Caf Eaton was steady all game on both sides. Caf knocked down a couple of threes, and he defended well. He handled the ball well and provided a reliable hand for this McLean team. He played a big part in that big McLean second half with his defense. Holding a good Fairfax team to 34 points is a significant accomplishment, and it probably wouldn’t happen without Caf Eaton.
