Lucas Gustafson Lucas Gustafson 6'0" | PG Mankato East | 2026 State MN of Mankato East (5’11 soph). This is one of several East players you have to close out to and Lucas has the type of range that you may have to close an extra step out to. He knocked out three threes but also battled for six rebounds and did a great job moving the basketball for four assists. A smart, gritty young player with a good court IQ.
Dane Kanwischwer of Orono (6’3 soph). Dane did not have any numbers that will blow you away but he did some things that really make you think he is going to be valuable for Orono for a long time to come. I thought defensively he got his length on the ball, he had a couple smart passes, and there was nothing about Dane that was afraid taking the court against a top five team.
Amari Nobles Amari Nobles 6'5" | SF Mankato East | 2026 State MN of Mankato East (6’4 soph). Nobles came off the bench and scored on all four shots he took for the Cougars. He has a college basketball wing like frame at 6’4 or 6’5 with strength and room to add more strength while still being an agile wing. I think he has a chance to be a nice prospect.
Joseph Sutherland of Grand Rapids (6’3 soph). When the Hawks needed a basket the ball often found the hands of Sutherland. He’s a 6’3/6’4 small forward that is still young and learning how to score with so much focus on him, but in the meat of the game Sutherland hit two threes and scored in the paint. More defensive attention came his way and things did get tougher but Joe did have a team high 15 points on 6 of 16 attempts. He looks like he will be a good three point shooter, a good finisher around the cup, and as the dribble attack game grows along with core strength he will get even better.
Mason Witt Mason Witt 5'11" | PG Alexandria | 2026 State MN of Alexandria (6’0 soph). Witt gave the Cards a chance late with his pair of threes and foul shots. He had a rough shooting game at the heart of things but down the stretch he found a grove to score ten points.
Others
Myles Gray Myles Gray 6'3" | SF Alexandria | 2026 State MN of Alexandria (6’2 soph). Gray scored twice and played hard for the Cards.
Thomas Hinrihs of Alexandria (6’2 soph). Played a really nice role in half two scoring four points, making good decisions with the ball and giving defensive effort.
Gavin Roderick Gavin Roderick 6'2" | SG Alexandria | 2026 State MN of Alexandria (6’2 soph). Had a rebound.
Trenton Vannyhuis of Osakis (6’2 soph). Scored three times for a six point game
Talan Witt Talan Witt 5'10" | PG Alexandria | 2026 State MN of Alexandria (6’0 soph). Had an assist.
Broderick Woods of Rocori (soph). Had a basket and a couple boards off the bench,
