Ladue at MICDS (December 5th)
A battle on Warson Road. This game features two of the best teams in St. Louis county and will be a packed gym. It’s a rivalry game and intensity will be high. Ladue has a lot of interchangeable lineups and speed. Haydan Arnold and Dwayne Foley are key players for the Rams. MICDS is coming off a championship game loss vs. University City. They’re a young team and home court advantage could be key. Look for 2026 Brandon Clemens to make a major impact.
Blair Oaks vs. Capital City (December 6th)
A notable contest because of new Capital City coach Ryan Fick patrolling the sidelines vs. his old program. He had a ton of success coaching Blair Oaks and played a major role in the development of 2022 Player of the Year, Luke Northweather. It’ll be interesting to see how his new program performs with these set of circumstances. He’s an outstanding leader and coach in Missouri high school basketball. This is the best storyline game.
Battle vs. Park Hills Central at Mizzou Arena (December 7th)
The first of four games we’ll touch on at Mizzou. Battle is coming off a Troy Tournament championship where Tate McCubbin Tate McCubbin 6'7" | SF Battle | 2024 State MO won MVP. Their strong guard play will be matched up with a loaded Park Hills Central backcourt led by Jobe Bryant Jobe Bryant 6'0" | PG Park Hills Central | 2024 State MO . This Class 4 vs. 6 matchup will be the best game to kick off this event on Thursday. A great early test to see where these teams stand among the best competition.
Jefferson City vs. Pembroke Hill at Mizzou Arena (December 8th)
Two of the best teams in Class 5. Each competed in the Final Four last season and return a bulk of their scoring. Jefferson City has the size advantage and will look to get the ball into the post whereas Pembroke Hill is more guard oriented. Look for 2025 Jordan Martin Jordan Martin 6'6" | SF Jefferson City | 2025 State MO and 2026 Mavrick Hawkins to be top players in the contest. Each are top players in their class and capable of scoring in bunches.
Vianney vs. Springfield Central at Mizzou Arena (December 9th)
We expect this to be an up-tempo contest. Both teams love to run the floor and shoot threes. On paper Vianney is the better shooting team while Central has the better athletes. Both are experiencing early success and have nice wins under their belt. The Vianney trio of Luke Walsh Luke Walsh 6'2" | SG Vianney | 2025 State #374 Nation MO , Eddie Smajic Eddie Smajic 6'5" | SF Vianney | 2026 State MO , and Symon Ghai Symon Ghai 7'3" | C Vianney | 2026 State MO will be tough to stop but Tyrique Brooks Tyrique Brooks 6'3" | SG Waynesville | 2024 State MO is a major transfer in the state who’s paying early dividends. He has the ability to get Mizzou Arena rocking with dunks.
Vashon vs. Oak Park at Mizzou Arena (December 9th)
Two of the best match up early in the season. Vashon is off to a very hot start and Oak Park will look to get their first big win under new coach Sherron Collins. It’ll be interesting to see if Vashon is able to pressure the outstanding Oak Park guards. This game features a wealth of 2025 talent and will be sure to have Mizzou coaches looking on from the stands. Nicholas Randall Nicholas Randall 6'8" | PF Vashon | 2025 State #96 Nation MO can be the difference maker in this one at 6’8.
