Let us dive on in and take a look at some highlights of Thursday's night of hoops. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Bobcat of Daviess County Classic Round 2 results</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The semi-final round of the Bobcat of Daviess County Classic took place last night. In the first semi-final game, 1A Evansville Christian defeated 3A Scottsburg behind senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1158176' first='Josiah' last='Dunham'] scoring 20 points and adding 5 rebounds. In the second semi-final game. Brownstown Central handled host North Daviess behind [player_tooltip player_id='1547584' first='Parker' last='Hehman'] scoring 10 points and 5 assists. Evansville Christian will play Brownstown Central in the championship tonight at 8pm tonight. Important note: Brownstown Central senior guard and Purdue signee [player_tooltip player_id='1158245' first='Jack' last='Benter'] will not be playing tonight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1297020' first='Dominique' last='Murphy Jr'] goes off</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2025 shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297020' first='Dominique' last='Murphy Jr'] had himself a game last night. In the East Chicago Central 80-73 win over Merrillville last night, the 6'5 two-guard scored a total of 27 points in the win. Murphy Jr. has great size on the perimeter and plays with a real aggressiveness on the offensive end. What makes him such a top prospect is that he can score about anywhere on the floor at an easy rate. Murphy Jr and East Chicago Central host Chicago Kenwood (Ill.) tonight. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Guerin Catholic gets road win over Indianapolis Roncalli</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Golden Eagles were able to improve to 7-2 last night. On the road, 3A Guerin Catholic defeated 4A Indianapolis Roncalli 55-48. Guerin Catholic was led by junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2053658' first='Bryson' last='Cardinal'] with 16 point while senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1547883' first='Dylan' last='Murans'] added 14 points. Roncalli was led in scoring by senior shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1945635' first='Drew' last='Kegerreis'] with a game-high 18 points. Guerin Catholic will participate in the Lawrenceburg Tournament while Roncalli will be in the Batesville Tournament next week. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
