They might not be the #1 option, but how well they play gives their team a higher ceiling.
Jaden Smith (Kenwood – 2024)
Smith is the player that can take Kenwood over the top with his size, length, athleticism, and offensive upside. If he reaches his potential as a senior Kenwood will be almost impossible to beat.
Noah Cleveland (Normal– 2024)
Cleveland sat out last season, but shined in June returning to his Normal Community team and looking like he never missed a beat. Scores in the paint with touch and rebounds well.
Camden Brown (Quincy – 2024)
Brown has flown a bit under the radar with his play over the last year since coming back from an injury, but he will be the veteran perimeter presence that could take Quincy to the title level!
Alioune Mbaye (De La Salle – 2024)
DLS has a very good roster heading into the season. Mbaye emerged as what could be the missing piece inside as a rebounder and efficient scorer on the interior.
Meyoh Swansey (Thornton – 2024)
Swansey has always been an intriguing prospect with his length and pull up game. If he can take it to the next level he can elevate Thornton.
Rashad McKinnie (Simeon – 2024)
McKinnie saw minutes for a mostly senior laden Wolverines team last year. Now it is his time to step up as a two way threat in their backcourt.
Alex Miller (Downers Grove North – 2024)
While everyone will be focused on Stanton it could be Miller who has the breakout season as a shooter with plus size and shot making.
Jaden Clark & Santana Flowers (Bloom – 2024)
Lovemore will get all the pub, but these two wings are legit college talents that can be super impactful on the perimeter slashing and defending.
Jalen Crues (Glenbard North – 2024)
Crues made the move over to Glenbard North for his final season. Love him as a perfect glue guy with Hernandez and Abushanab on a big high school front line.
Christian Uremovich (Mt. Carmel – 2024)
He made the move to Mt. Carmel as a senior where he will join Ciaravino and Marks on the front line. Uremovich will be a workhorse on the glass and doing the little things.
Luke Hopp (Metamora – 2024)
While everyone is excited about Koch and Mason don’t forget Hopp who we like at the D2 level as a spot up shooter and rim protector.
Reggie Ray (St. Ignatius – 2024)
Ray is the player that will make or break Iggy as he is coming back from an injury. If he can play how he did at the beginning of last season next to Gill they could have something!
Bryce Newsome (Belleville West – 2024)
There is a lot of perimeter talent on the Belleville West squad, but we are excited to see what this massive big man can do inside for the Maroons.
Josh Aniceto (Bolingbrook – 2024)
High IQ guard that makes others around him better and when he needs to score he can do that as well.
Sean Brown-Coley (Whitney Young – 2024)
While the Dolphins have a ton of high profile prospects this senior might be their most productive player this season with his craftiness.
