Top Games
Bingham @ Fremont
This is one of the better home and away agreements as these two teams play a really solid brand of basketball. They are also both well coached. This is a pick’em game for sure as they both have players that can change the game and get the job done.
Last year Bingham started the season 0-7 and they had a tough time with Fremont. They will lean heavily on Luke West Luke West 6'2" | SG Bingham | 2026 State UT and his scoring ability. The emergence of Stockton Tueller Stockton Tueller 6'2" | CG Bingham | 2024 State UT has really been a bright spot on those developing players waiting their turn. Rykan Meadows Rykan Meadows 6'9" | C Bingham | 2024 State UT will be a big part of their success as he is a player with size that can clean things up on the glass and he can also be a rim protector. Rhett Dawson and Tate Boman Tate Boman 6'2" | CG Bingham | 2024 State UT could really help them this year and they are riding a strong fall and hope that it trickles over to the pre-season.
If you look at Fremont’s schedule every game is winnable but that will depend on their senior stud who just signed with Weber State University and that is Hunter Hansen Hunter Hansen 6'4" | PG Fremont | 2024 State UT . How Hunter goes this team will go but they also have some players that will have larger roles on the team like Easton Duft Easton Duft 5'9" | PG Fremont | 2025 State UT a player with a high IQ and ability to create shots for others. Jaxon Slaugh Jaxon Slaugh 6'2" | CG Fremont | 2025 State UT is another player that has an opportunity to show that he can do a little bit of everything to help his team win games.
This game should be a great and it is a good game 1 for both teams.
Layton Christian Academy @ Wasatch Academy
Great games for both teams here. On one hand Wasatch needs as many solid games to run their stuff and get some games under them before they start playing in the NIBC. Then LCA needs good solid runs to work on their stuff and they have a lot of new faces that will get an opportunity to play against some top talent.
Wasatch Academy on paper should run away with this one as they have the top players in the country but one new comer that has really changed things for them this year is Ohio State signee John Mobley John Mobley 6'2" | PG Wasatch Academy | 2024 UT Jr. This kid has a motortr and shot making ability. He really slows things dwn and he gets the ball to where it needs to be. Chris Nwuli Chris Nwuli 6'7" | SF Wasatch Academy | 2025 State #38 Nation UT is another player that is a game changer with his athletic ability. Isiah Harwell Isiah Harwell 6'5" | CG Wasatch Academy | 2025 State #7 Nation UT is playing at such a high level right now and he is a ready to make a big impact. Malick Diallo Malick Diallo 6'9" | C Wasatch Academy | 2024 State #131 Nation UT is going to be tough to stop as the TCU signee is also a big footwork guy that can really finish.
LCA has two players that we know of that will be super tough and that is Otavio Armani Otavio Armani 6'5" | CG Layton Christian | 2024 State UT , this kid is big and he has game. He will matchup well against anyone but he can score at all three levels. Then you have a player with so much potential in Tyrin Jones Tyrin Jones 6'9" | CG Layton Christian | 2025 State UT lanky wing that has been in the lab, so we expect him and Otavio to really turn things up this year for LCA.
Other Games
Highland @ Jordan
This game will feature one of the best rising 2026 players in the state and even nationally with Isaiah Drisdom Isaiah Drisdom 6'0" | PG Highland | 2026 State UT but they have some dudes on this team that will show-out. Grayson Gaddis Grayson Gaddis 6'6" | CG Highland | 2024 State UT and Sefa Brown Sefa Brown 6'5" | SF Highland | 2024 State UT might just be too much for a lot of teams but this is a great game for them to get things going this year. George McConkie George McConkie 6'8" | C Highland | 2024 State UT and Matt Lambson Matt Lambson 5'11" | SG Highland | 2024 State UT should also have big games.
Jordan has an opportunity to start a new era with a new coach. This will need to be a game where everyone will need to pitch in and help. Brandt Steed is a player that should be among the leaders for Jordan.
Favorite: Highland
Viewmont @ Farmington
These two teams are on the upswing and Farmington has a big chance at making some noise in 6A and could surprise a few teams as well. If Paul Beattie Paul Beattie 6'9" | PF Farmington | 2024 State UT can play consistently on both ends he could really hold things down in the paint on both ends.
Jayden Haskell Jayden Haskell 6'3" | CG Farmington | 2024 State UT , Drake Darnell Drake Darnell 5'9" | CG Farmington | 2024 State UT , Ethan Atkins can all hoop and this team has speed and they actually have the ability to play any style of ball. Farmington is going to be tough.
Viewmont might not have enough unless they spread things out and spray it from deep. Drez Jensen is a player to really watch.
Favorite: Farmington
Mountain View @ Cottonwood
This game is great and this might come down to who can put together enough stops and use their bench players to keep the starters fresh.
Bryce Mella Bryce Mella 6'5" | CG Mountain View | 2026 State UT is a higher rated player in the Class of 2026 but he is a player that will play with a chip on his shoulder regardless. This team should be much improved and could be a team to talk about in 4A.
John Rosvear over at Cottonwood really makes a difference as he adds shooting, play making and scoring for sure.
