Jaylan McElroy Jaylan McElroy 6'7" | PF DePaul Prep | 2024 State #262 Nation IL (DePaul Prep)
McElroy is coming off a great close to his junior season which ended with a 2A state crown. He will look to lead his team back to Champaign this season. Long and athletic four man that plays taller than his height with his length and anticipation. Very good defender that can play in space along with swat shots on the perimeter. Plus rebounder that on the offensive end contributes as a rim runner, makes plays off the bounce from the mid-post, and gets on the offensive glass with his second jump.
Calvin Robins Jr Calvin Robins Jr 6'5" | PF Kenwood | 2024 State IL (Kenwood)
Robins Jr has been out with an injury since the spring. He is a prospect that relies heavily on his athleticism and motor. He is a bit undersized as a four/five man, but makes up for it with his unrelenting energy and pop! Beast rebounder that is cat quick on the glass and is a shot blocking presence from the weakside. Offensively he is the guy you don’t have to run a play for and will get you points in transition, lobs, put backs, and dump offs.
Stefan Cicic Stefan Cicic 7'0" | C Riverside Brookfield | 2024 State IL (Riverside Brookfield)
Wide bodied five man that has legit size and strength to play at the D1 level. He is more of a traditional low post five that anchors in the paint utilizing footwork, touch, and power to do damage. Rebounds at a high level in his area and clogs up the paint defensively. Showed some improvements as a shooter in June.
Noah Cleveland Noah Cleveland 6'8" | C Normal Community | 2024 State IL (Normal Community)
Cleveland returned for Normal Community after taking a year off from hoops and looked as good as we had seen him. Seemed to be stronger, taller, and was super efficient with the ball in his hands scoring on the interior and rebounding at a good rate. One of the biggest sleepers in this class.
Alioune Mbaye Alioune Mbaye 6'7" | PF De La Salle | 2024 State IL (De La Salle)
Speaking of sleepers that can be said for Mbaye as well. The Meteors post was a force for both his high school team and the Chicago Demons over the summer. What we like about his game is how well he finishes around the cup, rebounds with ferocity, and is a shot blocking presence. Primed for a big year!
James Bullock James Bullock 6'7" | PF Marian Catholic | 2024 State IL (Marian Catholic)
Bullock is a long and rangy post that can play either the four or the five. Good rebounder and shot blocker with touch around the basket. Active on the boards and has switchability along with rim protection potential on the defensive end. He can also stretch the floor which is always valuable in today’s game.
JJ Hernandez JJ Hernandez 6'6" | PF Glenbard North | 2024 State IL (Glenbard North)
Hernandez is a high level defensive player that can defend inside and out. On the interior he is an excellent shot blocking presence with his timing and athleticism. The switchability on the defensive end is one of his biggest strengths being able to defend a variety of positions. Offensively he is a force on the glass and throwing down dunks.
