PHH was fresh off a long weekend playing in nearby Northwest Indiana and decided to get one more game before heading back home. Chi-Prep jumped out to an early lead in the first half but PHH chipped away at it and would eventually get the win 83-7.5 Here are the players that had a huge impact on the game.
PHH Prep
Marsai Mason 2024 6’7
Marsai was the most consistent player on the court. He’s an inside and outside threat. Having extended range from the three-point line he didn’t miss many shots when he had a clean look. In the paint Mason has a nose for the ball and always seemed to be in the area for offensive boards. He also is very fundamental around the basket scoring with half-hook shots and a nice face-up game. His athleticism showed on some of the one-hand dunks off fastbreaks. He’s a mid-major to high type of talent.
Jinup Doboul 2024 6’8
Jinup is an uber athletic forward who had many dunks and blocks in this game. He has long arms with some muscle definition on him that allows him to stretch over guys on most of his dunks. Mostly two-handed slams help change the momentum of the game. He connected on several three-pointers mostly from the corners. Jinup has 15 feet out to the three range. On defense he blocked many shots with great timing on his jumps, but also grabbed a handful of boards. A prospect who has earned HM’s attention.
Ty Virgil 2025 6’6
Ty is a player who I noticed right away. A tall guard who has three-level scoring ability but is also very athletic. Virgil looked good in the role of initiating offense and playing off high-ball screens. At times he was able to turn the corner and hit the bigs for an easy assist. Off the ball he had good mechanics as he hit a pair of threes. His length is very intriguing for defensive purposes because he can play passing lanes and be helpful on the boards. Another prospect that has high major attention.

2025 6’3
Ford could do no wrong in this game. He controlled the pace of the game showing great shooting touch from three, getting to his mid-range shot off slick crossover moves, and scoring and facilitating in the lane over athletic bigs. Tristian is so crafty in the half-court and uses it well. Ford had a few athletic dunks as well getting open-court steals that led to one-handed flushes. His length on defense and his mentality to lock opposing guards down is his attention grabber to HM programs.
Jayden Miles 2025 6’8
Miles looked pretty bouncy at times in this matchup. He worked well out of pick-and-roll situations catching a lob and also scoring well with a post touch. Jayden showed good hands and held a strong base in the post. He’s improved a lot in this area from the last time I watched him. On defense he crashed the boards hard and blocked over 5 shots in the game. He has been trending up since the move to Chi-Prep.

Jones had a bit of a slow start but picked it up when his team needed him the most. Mike is an energy and athletic forward who had a couple of menacing dunks. One strong finish from a baseline drive. He took a couple of shots from the perimeter, a part of his game that he’s still improving. His face-up game from the mid-post looked good as he hit a few of those shots. He rebounded at a high rate snatching a couple of boards at the peak of its flight. As he continues to improve his handles look for more schools to get involved with him on the trail.
Pablo Rodriguez 2026 6’9
In a short period, Pablo had some moments hitting a three from the corner and attacking the glass hard for boards. He was able to switch on defense and guard smaller players for possession. Rodriguez has some tools that can translate to the D1 level.
