The Prep Hoops staff is taking a closer look inside Tennessee high school basketball programs, as they gear up for the 2023-2024 season. Our next team feature is Davidson Academy, out of Nashville.

The 2022-2023 team was driven by Lorenzo McMillion, a high-flying, glorious scorer and the tall, invested A.J. McGhee. Both graduated leaving room for a deep '24 class to find larger roles.

Ethan is the team's top three-pointer shooter.

Jagger Goodall is a very good baseball player in addition to consistent double-figure scorer for the basketball Bears.

Will Breece scored 8 points against USN. Vernon Roberts helped with 7 points. Breece is a speedy guy.

Ten of the 12 players dressing varsity are seniors, making it an enormous class. The two non-seniors are actually starters: [player_tooltip player_id='2852268' first='Vernon' last='Roberts Jr.'], Josiah Moore. Josiah is a solid catch-and-shoot option at this stage of his career.

Starter James Avery plays as an athletic guard. Decent defender on and off of the basketball.
