Against a very guard-driven John Overton team, [player_tooltip player_id='2275497' first='Lazaros' last='Odwar'] played exceptionally. The lithe guard repeatedly took the ball to the basket. He showed off a hunger, a scorer's mentality and cowered from no challenge. On paper, Odwar's mission seemed destined to fail. John Overton is a team with many guards, mostly senior guards. Still, Odwar plugged away and decimated a defense that rarely crumbles in the second and third quarters particularly.

John Overton's third quarter collapsing needs some examining. And yet newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='2275394' first='Jehmel' last='Madison'] played quite poised. The sophomore was patient. He did not force shots. Madison looked stable and steady. Surprisingly, the Bobcats did not find that from their senior core for most of the second and third quarters.

[player_tooltip player_id='2139255' first='Ike' last='Boone Jr.'] - Wilson Central - 2026

Ike Boone is a sophomore that showed talent in the lead-up to the season. This was to be a nice year for him, but 44 points in his debut?! Not at all expected. He entered this season on the @PrepHoopsTN Watch List. Well, now everybody is watching.

[player_tooltip player_id='2274856' first='Breyden' last='Turnage'] - Dyersburg - 2025

The junior Breyden missed a lot of his sophomore season to injury. His comeback began with a bang Tuesday night. Scoring from the low blocks was his thing. Then, he stepped away from the basket and hit a three-pointer. The 6-foot-8 forward showed a little of everything. There are heady days to come for Turnage.
