Many of Southern California's top prospects signed to their respective college program in the early signing period. Even though those players are off the board, there is still plenty of quality players available in the region. We take a look at the top available guards below.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502875' first='Bishop' last='Brooks'] | 6-3 | SG | West Ranch

Brooks transferred to West Ranch after a breakout junior season at Taft and, after gaining eligibility through the CIF Southern Section, made an immediate impact to a good Wildcats team. Brooks is a catch and shoot guy from three-point range with a strong frame and the ability to attack closeouts for straight-line drive finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502793' first='Mister' last='Burnside'] | 6-2 | PG | Paraclete

Aside from having one of the best names in the region, [player_tooltip player_id='1502793' first='Mister' last='Burnside'] has quietly put together a strong career while playing in the high desert at Paraclete. When we saw him at Border League a couple months ago, the strong-framed guard was knocking down shots from all over the floor, getting paint touches and creating for teammates and defending the opponents best perimeter offensive player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502794' first='Jaden' last='Hubbard'] | 6-3 | SG | Orange Lutheran

Hubbard is one of the best available pure shooters on the board. What makes the senior such a lethal three-point shooter is his ability to move without the ball, use screens to create space and advantages and his quick release from anywhere on the floor. Hubbard can sprint into shots while staying on balance through his release and is a rhythm shooter off the bounce from behind the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='2102485' first='Bentley' last='Waller'] | 6-4 | PG | Bakersfield Christian

Waller is hoping to have a fully healthy season in his final year of high school basketball. We saw him at length in the Cali Live event over the summer and his feel and upside stood out. The wiry 6-foot-4 lead guard showed great feel when creating for himself and teammates off the dribble and has plenty of untapped potential that, in the right situation, could be developed into a very effective player.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502799' first='Ian' last='De La Rosa'] | 6-3 | G | St. Augustine

De La Rosa has everything a college program looks for a glue-type player. The combo guard is a steady and high IQ decision-maker who can knock down open catch and shoot three's, use his size advantage inside when guarded by smaller players and defends multiple positions. What I like most about him is that he plays hard consistently and he rebounds the ball from the guard position.
