The high school basketball season is off to the start that everyone expected it would be in the state of Arkansas. Davenport and Pea Ridge opened up the season against the Greenwood Bulldogs on Monday night. Davenport had the opportunity to showcase his smooth jumper and high motor. He racked up 16 points, 4 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block on the night. He filled up the stat sheet on Monday night this week. Gamble was hitting from all over the court. He racked up 44 points, 18 steals, 6 boards, and 8 assists to start the season. Lanier showcased his ability to drive through the lane and finish above the rim. He racked up 13 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, and 3 assists to start the season. Lanier has shown that he can keep that motor going on both ends of the court. Taylor did an excellent job of finding his teammates on Monday night. Taylor put up 15 points and 10 assists on Monday night. The Cardinals and Taylor reached the state championship game a year ago and they are a combination to watch out for this season. Taylor is a prospect to watch out for before he suits up for North Texas next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
