Gage Stepich- Gage has not only transformed his body but has transformed his game. His ability to shoot the ball has grown tremendously and he’s able to stretch the floor big time because he can shoot it pretty comfortably a few feet out from the 3-point line. He has a quick release and can get his shot off. To only be a 6th grader he has a ton of potential and has come a long way. The guard at the independent school knows his moment awaits him at the school ball level.
Ava Niblack- Ava has a great wingspan on her frame and with her having this, it makes it difficult for others to steal the ball from her because she can manipulate the ball and put it wherever she needs to. Not only does she know how to manipulate the ball but she doesn’t dribble it soft, she dribbles it hard and is quick to go along with her decision-making. Combine her handles with her jumper, she’s no small guard either so her shooting touch and length allow her to shoot it over the top of the opponents when they are closing out.
Alex Dinsmore- Alex is a hidden gem that will soon take off! She’s a tall guard who played post the majority of her career but is more than capable of shooting the 3 ball or putting the ball on the floor. She has developed into something promising for the future. This multi-sport athlete who plays volleyball, basketball, and soccer has all the tools to do something special. Coming from a family that has height you can only expect that she’s going to grow and become even more of a threat. Her style of play is really being fundamentally sound on both ends of the floor, she loves to play off of 2 feet and plays strong.
Jackson Klitzing- Jackson the lefty has been shooting the lights out from 3 and has recently shown us that he can not only finish in the through contact but he can put the ball on the floor and beat someone off the bounce to get there. Jackson is a good rebounder because of his size he’s able to get low and move players out of the way to pursue the basketball. Jackson has a lot of upside on the offensive end, if he develops the defensive side of the ball more it’ll be a scary sight to see.
Bria Fitzwilliams- Bria the 7th grader for the Andover Central Jaguars has recently started her school ball season and has been lighting it up! After struggling in the first game she returned to game #2 and scored 13 points out of her team’s 21 total points in the tough loss to a good Salina team. Bria is a scrappy defender, despite her small stature in height she is physical with players throwing them to the ground when needed to dive for the ball. She is a full-court press all by her self and usually forces turnovers. Shes going to have a good high school career when the time comes. She is a point guard that brings a ton of experience.
