It will be a historic season with ND going to 3-Classes. It will seem a little odd/weird but the 3-Class system will certainly make it an interesting and entertaining season of basketball. Enough chatter, time to look at the Power Rankings!
Below we will give you three reason why these teams make the top 10 and ask 1 question about the team.
B Power Rankings
#1 Bowman County
WHY?
– Bohden Duffield Bohden Duffield 6'1" | SG Bowman County | 2024 State ND & Bishop Duffield Bishop Duffield 6'2" | SG Bowman County | 2024 State ND , the best 1-2 punch in Class B
-Fast paced play, up-tempo, pressure, hit 3’s & score at the cup
– Aiden Thompson Aiden Thompson 6'0" | CG Bowman County | 2024 State ND is another nice player, Bulldogs have other solid role/glue guys
Will the lack of size/BIGs hurt them in the long run?
#2 North Star
WHY?
– Dane Hagler Dane Hagler 6'4" | SG North Star | 2024 ND ! He is a complete player who does it all, plays above the rim but also does the little things
– Brett Dilley Brett Dilley 6'3" | SF North Star | 2024 State ND is a productive player, Karsen Simon Karsen Simon 6'5" | SF North Star | 2024 State ND & Parker Simon Parker Simon 6'4" | SF North Star | 2024 State ND bring size & toughness to Bearcats
– Hunter Hagler Hunter Hagler 6'3" | SF North Star | 2026 State ND is the X-factor, coming back from football injury, excellent athlete, dynamic playmaker

WHY?
-Experienced squad, won a ton of games last season and this fall in football
-They have plenty of size, athleticism, shooters, scorers, and rim protectors
– Luke Martinson Luke Martinson 6'4" | PF Sargent County | 2024 State ND & Josh Wittich Josh Wittich 6'5" | PF Sargent County | 2024 State ND are good enough to lead the Bulldogs to the promised land
Do they have an elite PG that can break the press and run the offense?
#4 Medina-Pingree-Buchanan
WHY?
– Rylen Wick Rylen Wick 6'6" | SF Medina-Pingree/Buchanan | 2024 State ND will impress people, great scorer, excellent passer, nose for the ball, smart
-They know how to win big games, made it to State last season, had a good off-season

#5 Westhope-Newburg
WHY?

-Texas Ranger in unguarable with 1 player, will put up massive numbers again
– Braden Bailey Braden Bailey 5'7" | PG Westhope/Newburg | 2025 State ND is a sparkplug, will stir the drink, Hunter Tolstad Hunter Tolstad 6'2" | PF Westhope-Newburg | 2026 State ND will provide a presence inside the arc
-Do they have enough depth and talent off the bench to be an elite squad?

WHY?

WHY?
-The Cards got the taste of winning in their mouth this fall in football, expect that to carry over
– Rayce Worley Rayce Worley 6'4" | SF Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich | 2024 State ND is a DUDE, has the talent, skill, smarts, and athleticism to be All-State
– Cody Amble Cody Amble 6'3" | SG Langdon Area | 2025 State ND option #2, nice player, Nickolas Kingzett Nickolas Kingzett 5'11" | CG Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich | 2024 State ND is an athlete, Theo Romfo Theo Romfo 6'2" | SF Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich | 2026 ND is big, legit potential
How is the depth and do they have a consistent interior presence?
#8 Flasher
WHY?

WHY?
-They are a traditional powerhouse in B, tough to bet against the Lions

WHY?
-They bring everyone back and coach Sharp does a nice job
