With as many talented players in the state this season, it is important that we give you a list of names to keep an eye on for the season, which is what I will be doing with each position in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes. The point of my list is to give you a preview of some the players that are maybe overlooked a little, still on the college recruiting board, or guys in general that deserve to have eyes on them. With that said, here are shooting guards to watch for in the 2026 class this season.
There may not be any other 2026 prospect in the state that is projected to have a bigger breakout year than Noblesville shooting guard Justin Curry II Justin Curry II 6’4″ | SG Noblesville | 2026 State IN . What makes Curry such a top tier prospect is his mixture of shooting and defending as he is projected to be a true three-and-d guy. He has great length for a shooting guard his age and is real good about getting to his spots and creating scoring chances for himself. Just on his breakout potential alone, that is what makes him a part of my watchlist.

For the past few seasons, Heritage Hills has been in need of getting some major help around Trent Sisley Trent Sisley 6’8″ | PF Heritage Hills | 2025 State #47 Nation IN . This season however, they may finally have that guy in Jake Prior Jake Prior 6’5″ | SG Heritage Hills | 2026 State IN to take pressure off of Sisley. He has a real fluid style to his game and I think he had one of the better mid-range jumpers in the entire in-state 2026 class. He moves well off of the ball, freeing up space on the floor. As long as he stays aggressive, Prior has a real chance to take some pressure off one of the best players in the state. Breakout potential.

As far as per toughness and motor on both ends, Darrell is arguably the best in the in-state 2026 class. He is extremely shifty on the ball and works well off the ball to get open and has the potential to be one of the best catch-and-shoot guards in the state as his high school career takes off. Got an up-close look at Darrell throughout the MIB Fall League and always came out impressed with him. As he gets older, he could become one of the better guards in the state.

If you want to talk about big time shot makers in the in-state 2026 class, Bloomington North’s Jalen Williams Jalen Williams 6’4″ | SG Bloomington North | 2026 State IN is where you should look. He has all the athletic, physical tools you want out of a wing plus the ability to play super well in the transition game. He is also one of the better shooters I have seen in the 2026 class and has the ability to create looks both on and off the ball. With Bloomington North needing guys to step up this season, Williams could be in-line to breakout this year. A name to keep an eye on.
Other players to watch for: Steven Reynolds III Steven Reynolds III 6'5" | SG South Bend Washington | 2026 State IN , Nick Shrewsberry Nick Shrewsberry 6'4" | SG South Bend St. Joseph | 2026 State IN , Blake Neill Blake Neill 6'4" | SG Bloomfield | 2026 State IN , Kasen Daeger Kasen Daeger 6'3" | SG Silver Creek | 2026 State IN
