With as many talented players in the state this season, it is important that we give you a list of names to keep an eye on for the season, which is what I will be doing with each position in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 classes. The point of my list is to give you a preview of some the players that are maybe overlooked a little, still on the college recruiting board, or guys in general that deserve to have eyes on them. With that said, here are power forwards to watch for in the 2025 class this season.
Betten is a versatile power forward that continues to rise his stock through big time performance after big time performance. For his big size, he is sneaky athletic and the ability to score both out on the perimeter and around the basket. He is tough forward to guard because he will switch it up inside-and-out while being as physical as he possible can and score through contact. He is becoming a highly sought after prospect at a lot of levels.
Highlights
For those that know me know that I have been on the Cole Henry train for awhile now and that does not change because I think this prospect is going to breakout this year in his junior year at South Ripely. He is your modern day power forward because of his extremely consistent versatility in stretching the floor while also doing damage in the post. His motor, explosiveness, and ability to defend the post is just only some of the few things I like about this prospect’s long-term potential. His recruitment is very underwhelming and that should change this season.
Highlights
Hall is a player that I have always felt flies a little too under-the-radar because he has always impressed every time I have seen him. A 6’6, he is one of the smoothest and most fundamentally fluid bigs in the in-state class of 2025 and provides a lot over versatility. He can bang in the post while also be able to stretch the floor at a high rate. Silky smooth big that makes an impact on the defensive end as well as he does a great job of not allowing any easy buckets around the rim. He is going to play a major role for Brownstown this season and complement Jack Benter Jack Benter 6’4″ | SG Brownstown Central | 2024 State #121 Nation IN very well. A power forward to keep an eye on this season.
If you want to talk about raw, untapped potential…that would be Tindley’s Henri Maye Henri Maye 6’7″ | PF Tindley | 2025 State IN . He impressed us at Prep Hoops Indiana throughout the summer and had a big time showing at the MIB Fall League which automatically had to put him as one of the top 2025 power forwards to watch this season. He is a true rim protector, has an extreme amount of bounce, can score around rim, and stretch the floor at a decent rate. The athletic ability is no joke either as he is one of the more natural athletes we have in the state. So much upside in this prospect and breakout year is coming up.
