A good early test for Sussex Hamilton as they prep for life without Luther Smith. The Chargers have a talented backcourt, led by seniors Aidan Konop Aidan Konop 6'2" | SG Sussex Hamilton | 2024 State WI and Cooper Grams Cooper Grams 5'10" | PG Sussex Hamilton | 2024 State WI .

A potentially sneaky good team in 2023-24, Eau Claire North was 2-23 a year ago, but returns senior and leading scorer Andrew Rocksvold Andrew Rocksvold 6'7" | SG Eau Claire North | 2024 State WI (13.8 ppg). The Huskies had a lot of youth last season and now return four of their top five scorers overall.

DeForest at Middleton

A Badger/Big Eight battle highlights Saturday's action.

Coming off a 13-12 season, DeForest will turn to junior wing/forward Jackson Accurardi to lead the way. Also a power-five football prospect, Accuardi averaged 14.1 ppg during a breakout sophomore campaign.

It's not a rebuilding year for Middleton, but the Cardinals will have to adjust without Gavyn Hurley, their do-it-all guard from last season. The reigning Big Eight champs went 25-2 last season and now hand the keys to the car to junior center Will Garlock Will Garlock 6'11" | C Middleton | 2025 State #204 Nation WI (11.4 ppg).

Oregon at Stoughton

This might not be a conference game anymore, but separated by just a few miles, Oregon-Stoughton certainly has a long history of being a rivalry.

Oregon is coming off a 17-8 season. The Panthers lost some key seniors, but big things are expected from sophomore Vaughn Karvala Vaughn Karvala 6'7" | SF CIA-Bella Vista | 2026 State #66 Nation AZ (9.8 ppg) after a nice freshman campaign.

The Badger Small Conference favorites, Stoughton, went 19-8 a year ago. The Vikings almost completely reload behind Michigan Tech commit Ty Fernholz Ty Fernholz 6'2" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI (20.7 ppg) and senior guard Sawyer Schipper Sawyer Schipper 6'1" | SG Stoughton | 2024 State WI (14.2 ppg).
