Best College Prospect
Jayden Fort Jayden Fort 6'8" | PF Jackson-Reed | 2025 State #128 Nation MD has the tools to play this game at a very high level. The Tigers’ gifted 6’8″ forward showed flashes of his potential and steadily improved throughout the previous season. Expect Fort to be truly dominant at times for what projects to be one of the top teams in the entire region.
Best Home Court
I gotta go with Theodore Roosevelt on this one. McKinley Tech and Wilson deserve mention here as well. But you can’t replicate the atmosphere at the Milkhouse for a big game. The lighting is immaculate and the crowd is always engaged.
Breakout Player
Quinton Cooper is considered to be one of the better guards in the conference and is on perhaps the team with the best backcourt. Look for the Colts’ standout to enjoy a productive junior campaign.
Player Who Scares You
Demontae Neclos Demontae Neclos 5'10" | PG McKinley Tech | 2025 State MD emerged as a dangerous player for the Trainers during their run to the DCIAA State Title game a year ago. He can take over games as a scorer or playmaker.
Sleeper Team
Dunbar’s New Head Coach Renard Phillips has arrived with high expectations for the Crimson Tide in year 1. They have a senior-laden group, led by Anacostia transfer Jordan Russell, who averaged 12 points per game last year. By all accounts, Dunbar will be one of the more competitive teams within the conference.
