Throughout the Scrimmage versus East Central, he consistently guarded the best player on the team regardless of whether it was a perimeter player or a post player. It was a back-and-forth game throughout and towards the end he got a still, went coast to coast for a dunk, and got a one on the play. This created momentum for Mid-West City to eventually get the win. He loves coming off handoffs and getting downhill to attach the defense. He doesn't do a bunch of dribbling with the basketball regardless of if he is trying to score or pass the basketball. He does great with moving in open spaces without the basketball and always seems to find himself almost wide-open for shots. He likes to focus on operating in the middle third of the basketball court and always knows when to attach the defense. His favorite time to attach is after the basketball has been swung a few times where he can get into a nice rhythm upon catching the basketball. He makes it easy for his point guard to penetrate because his defender can't leave him to help. His favorite shot that he makes frequently is the corner three and he moves great without the basketball. On defense, his team runs a run and jump full-court press with him playing at the top of it and it allows him to get deflections for his team. He does a great job of changing paces to throw the defense off balance. When he makes up his mind that he wants to get to the basket, he will use his strength to impose his will and it's nothing that any different can do to stop him. Being a bigger guard, he can see over smaller defenders and make the right play to get his shooters open shots. He has no problem finishing with either hand and brings a bunch of energy to his team. He can finish either over defenders, through defenders, or around defenders. He is very in transition if you give him the ball early at creating opportunities for himself at the rim. He consistently showed throughout the scrimmage against Verdigris his ability to make shots. With Verdigris playing a zone he was able to take advantage of his team sharing the basketball and getting him open shots. At times he had to do some things off the dribble and was still able to consistently knock down shots. He did well throughout the game using his ability to be a threat from the three-point line to create opportunities for him to get in the lane and finish with a lay-up or dish it off to his teammate for an easy basket.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":7,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65483231534f0"} /-->
