Instead of selecting one gym Thursday, I elected to scour the state by watching multiple games, each for segments and not in their entirety.
These are my rapid reactions and initial thoughts.

Bearden - Daniel Boone 1st Quarter

[player_tooltip player_id='1214940' first='Drew' last='Brillhart'] (Bearden) was a monster around the rim for Bearden. Brillhart is kind of a combo forward. Daniel Boone hung close until about two minutes left in the quarter when [player_tooltip player_id='1477322' first='Sean' last='Capshaw'] nailed a wing three-pointer. [player_tooltip player_id='1519805' first='King' last='Hubbard'] followed with a mid-range hit. My question for King was never athleticism or size for his position (SG/SF). I wondered...could he improve his shooting? This glimpse was encouraging. He is a high-level athlete with college basketball in his future. The only question is what level?

Henry Hamlin, a football guy for Daniel Boone was a handful on the blocks. He is all of 220 pounds with good height. Bearden's bigs lacked his weight and power. They are more lean.

[player_tooltip player_id='2275852' first='Garrison' last='Jones'] (Daniel Boone) is a name to watch. What potential! Garrison stands about 6-foot-5 with nice strength. A freshman, Garrison hit a corner three that suggested he may be a future wing. The agility suggests it too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1519805' first='King' last='Hubbard'] back to the FT line. Not only did he get those ensuing points, but King challenged Daniel Boone's best big Henry Hamlin. Hamlin fouled and it was his fourth foul! We still have 11 minutes left in this one. Bearden up.

Nolensville @ Fairview 1st Quarter

Bryce Embry hit a three-pointer early for FHS. [player_tooltip player_id='1137135' first='Mays' last='McCoy'] played on the ball a lot. The senior grew up an active rebounder. Kind of a forward. After recovering from a right leg injury, he is a much different player. Judging from this look he is going to be a methodical passer and cutter. The explosion is not the same with him. Frankly I don't love him as the primary ball-handler. I say give [player_tooltip player_id='1385892' first='Nathan' last='Dillingham'] the ball let him go. [player_tooltip player_id='1940046' first='Britton' last='Barker'] showed activity around the rim. Barker was a very important player because he gave Fairview offense some balance (inside-outside).

Nolensville won the first quarter, 15-5. They finished the first half up 40-16!
