Trinity Academy Raleigh didn’t waste any time getting things going in the early stages as they jumped out to an early 19-9 lead with big shots and plays from Parker Bye Parker Bye 6'3" | SG Trinity Academy | 2025 State NC and newcomer Kamran Prince Kamran Prince 6'2" | PG Trinity Academy Raleigh | 2025 State NC . After 1, TAR led Harrells 19-11 before they would respond.
Harrells would come out and decrease the deficit to four points before a 3-pointer from DJ West DJ West 6'2" | SG Trinity Academy Raleigh | 2027 State NC would boost the lead once again. Then, Antonio McKoy Antonio McKoy 6'4" | SF Harrells Christian | 2026 State NC woke up in a big way. He would surge their offensive attack and go on a run of his own to push his squad from a seven-point deficit to a 3-point lead in their favor to end the first half.
At the half, Harrells led TAR 29-26. The Tigers scored just seven points in the second quarter.
The Tigers would come out and take the lead back in the third quarter, 30-29 but Harrells wasn’t going away quietly. A 6-0 run from the Crusaders would make things 35-30 before another big shot from West would stop the run. TAR would regain the lead 38-37 with 1:25 left to go in the third. A 3-pointer from McKoy before the quarter ended would give Harrells a 40-38 lead after 3.
Prince would spark the offense in the fourth quarter and 2026 Cameron Bynum would have a big quarter as well. Both would score seven points apiece in the final quarter as things would turn into a free-throw game. Prince went 4-for-4 from the stripe.
The Tigers would lean heavily on the defense to get stops as things remained close until the very end. Trinity Academy would hold on until the end, securing a 56-53 victory.
Prince finished with 19 points and showed he could run the show at the point guard spot. He did well to show he could handle ball pressure and showed his stronger frame off in the process. As he adjusts to his new teammates, look for him to have a strong season.

Cameron Bynum
Cameron Bynum
Bynum was impressive in the TAR backcourt as he showed off his ability to make hustle plays and finish on the break. He was right behind Prince in the backcourt with 13 points, with nine coming in the second half when he was most needed. He’s a 2026 name to get to know.
McKoy was impressive in stepping up when he was most needed. He produced 21 points while showing off his ability to knock down shots in a variety of ways. As he improves his guard skills, he’ll be a burden to bare in the rotation for HC.
Highlights
McKoy played well off of his cousin, Antonio, showing he could rebound the ball and clean up on the glass. He finished with 14 points and did well to get to the free-throw line. He’s a versatile presence who should continue to grow in the 2026 class after recently reclassing.
Bye set quite the tone in the opening frame with his prowess on the perimeter. He knocked down three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 11 points to pace the perimeter scoring attack.
