Additionally, we give a nod to several MAPL prospects from New Jersey who we anticipate will also make a run at POY honors.
Nehemiah Holmes Nehemiah Holmes 6'6" | SG Hill School | 2024 State PA – 6’6” / 2024 / Hill School / NYBA Elite / Wing: Holmes is an athletic and versatile post graduate player who in 2022-23 was ranked one of top twenty-five players in Tennessee. He is a transition phenom because he thrives as a scorer and as a ball handler. Holmes can play above the rim and score in the mid-range. He will even pop the occasional three-ball. His size and physicality allow Holmes to bully smaller defenders and get to his spots. On defense, Holmes’ length and speed enable him to guard 2 through 4.
Ethan Johnston Ethan Johnston 6'5" | CG Hill School | 2026 State PA – 6’2” / 2026 / Hill School / New Heights EYBL / Combo Guard: This past off-season Johnston transferred from the Dwight School in New York to Hill School. He should have an immediate impact for Hill. Offensively, Johnston is a well-rounded playmaker with tremendous dribble-drive skills. He can attack the rim to score of distribute. Johnston is also an accurate 3-point shooter. Johnston’s recent accolades include being named as a standout performer at the CP3 Rising Stars Camp as well as a Top 30 ASG selection at the Pangos All-East Camp. He holds an offer from Fordham.
Thaddeus Lee Thaddeus Lee 6'7" | PF Mercersburg Academy | 2025 State PA – 6’7” / 2025 / Mercersburg Academy / York Ballers / Small Forward: In 2022-23 Lee averaged 18 points and 9 boards per game for Lancaster Catholic and was a 1st Team All-Lancaster-Lebanon selection. His transfer to Mercersburg means that the Blue Storm lineup is adding a long, fast, and athletic scorer with a high basketball IQ. Lee excels at filling a lane on the break and then finishing through contact. In the half-court, he scores from the baseline, the mid-range and in the paint. At the other end, Lee is a solid rim protector.
Jacob Meachem Jacob Meachem 5'8" | PG Hill School | 2025 State PA – 5’9″ / 2025 / Hill School / K-Low Elite / Point Guard: Meachem is an electric guard prospect with a reputation as an elite floor general. Yes, Meachem does a tremendous job running Hill’s sets and that he is a fantastic distributor. However, people are sleeping on Meachem’s scoring skills. Meachem can get buckets at all three levels. His ability to get downhill quickly combined with his elusive handles make Meachem impossible to stop in the open court. Plus, he crushes opponents in pick-n-roll and / or pick-n-pop action. Meachem holds an offer from Bucknell.
Erik Oliver-Bush Erik Oliver-Bush 6'4" | SG Mercersburg Academy | 2024 State PA – 6’4” / 2024 / Mercersburg Academy / K-Low Elite / Shooting Guard: Last season Oliver-Bush averaged 8.4 points to along with 5 rebounds per contest as a starter for Roman Catholic’s PCL championship team. He is a respectable 3-point shooter (32%), can slash to the rim for a catch and lay-in, and work the offensive glass for points. Oliver-Bush also possesses excellent court vision, so he will find open teammates for easy buckets. At the other end, Oliver-Bush is a plus defender.
