Joe is the epitome of a coach on the court, which is valuable to his team and his teammates. He is crafty with the ball in his hands and can get to the bucket at any time. He is very tough off the bounce, and his pull-up jumper is hard to defend and keeps defenders guessing. He is the ultimate competitor, and his success comes from his work habits in practice and the extra hours in the gym when no one is watching. Joe has over 1,000 career points, was all-state last season, and many believe that his senior year will be the year that is his best ever.
Tye Madison Tye Madison 6'2" | SF Marion County | 2025 State AL (6’2/SG/’25)
Tye’s ability to create space and get to the rim is fun to watch. He can jump with any player on the court and is super explosive. His competitiveness takes his game to another level, as he can take over a game at any moment with his ability to get to the bucket or get hot from behind the arc. Tye is a gym rat and loves putting in work, which is why he has consistently been improving over the years. He has been voted a team captain this year, and he will be looked upon to be a leader on and off the court. He should surpass the 1,000 career point mark this year and hopefully start getting some college offers rolling in.
Dalyce Floyd (6’4/PF|C)
Dalyce is a leader on and off the court. He is his squad’s most vocal guy and helps keep everyone accountable. He has all the traits you want in a basketball player. He is very versatile as he can play the center position and can stretch the floor with his ability to light it up from anywhere on the court. He is a willing defender who takes pride in his defense as he loves to guard a scorer. Dalyce has been all-county and all-conference the past two seasons. His approach to practice and games is unlike any his coaches have seen, as he practices as hard as he plays and leads by example.
When asked about two players who will be key pieces of the puzzle for his team this season that were not listed in the top three above, Coach Fox quickly mentioned the following two players:
Kaison Bishop Kaison Bishop 6'3" | PG Marion County | 2025 AL (PG/’25)
Kaison has battled an ACL injury the past two years, which limited him to only playing in about ten games the past two seasons. He is back healthy and looking to have a breakout year. Kaison will play the PG spot this
year, as he has excellent vision on the court and is an elite passer and shooter. Kaison takes pride on the defensive end of the floor as he really likes to guard opposing team’s best scorer. He is a well-rounded player and a natural leader, and his coaches look forward to having him back healthy.
Philip Wilson (SG)
This will be Philip’s first season on varsity. He had a great summer and is looking to build on that momentum during the season. Philip is a very level-headed player who makes good decisions with the rock in his hands. He is a lethal 3-point shooter but can get to the bucket as well. He plays tremendous on-ball defense and is very disruptive.
The Red Raiders like to get up and down the court and try to play in transition as much as possible. Defensively, look for Coach Fox’s team to press full court and play man to man to fit their uptempo style of play.
When asked what it would take for his team to make a deep playoff run, make it to the Final Four, or even win the State Championship, Coach Fox told me selflessness, defense, and rebounding. His squad made regionals for the first time in six years last season. They are hoping to continue to improve and grow together and take the next step to become a state championship team. Coach Fox desires his guys to lean on each other, try to embrace their bond and brotherhood with one another, and play out the motto: We Not Me!
