Prep Hoops Florida is taking a look at the preseason all-state teams for the upcoming season. We have a lot of new faces in new places this season and are excited to tip-off next month. Here are the nominees for the Class 1A Player of the Year this season. Voting will end on Sunday, October 15
Ethan McDonald Ethan McDonald 6'3" | CG Jay | 2024 FL
The 6-2 senior combo guard averaged 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists per game last season helping lead Jay High School reach a region final.
Kyler Bryant Kyler Bryant 6'2" | CG Chipley | 2024 State FL
The 6-2 senior combo guard averaged nearly 13 points, 2 assists and 2 steals per game for Chipley, reaching the Class 1A Championship Game last season.
Reigning All-State Second Team as a junior last season. Lamb averaged 13.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game helping lead Williston to their first state title.
Reigning All-State First Team as a sophomore last season. Hall averaged 20.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game helping lead Hilliard to a 20-5 record and reaching the regional semifinals.
Adyn Corbin
The 5-9 junior guard put up some big numbers last season averaging 15 points, 3 rebounds and nearly 3 steals per game as a sophomore.
The 6-5 junior wing averaged 21.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game last season and helped lead Hawthorne to the state semifinals.
Juwan Scippio
The 6-3 sophomore combo guard shot 69 percent from the field as a freshman last season, leading the team averaging nearly 11 points per game. He has one of the best catch-and-shoot releases I’ve seen and his potential is sky-high.
LaBron Lee
Lee was named to the All-Big Bend Honorable Mention team last year as a sophomore. Lee averaged 13 points and nearly three rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from the field.
