Continue ReadingOnce again, Coach Vandlandingham and his college style exposure camp (known as Uncommon Exposure) came to the Boot to help players gain recruiting exposure. There were 20-plus players from Arkansas and Louisiana at LSUS giving their best during the four hour training. In that time, there were some players who stood out through their drill execution and game play. In this Prep Hoops Louisiana exclusive, we will review some of the top attendees at the Uncommon exposure camp.
Ayden Warren Ayden Warren 5'11" | PG St. Mary's | 2024 State LA (6’1″ | St. Mary’s | 2024) – Ayden may be one of the small combo guards we have in Louisiana. However, he displayed why he is a threat at both guard positions. At the point, he was good at manipulating screen and rolls and using his dribble to create a shot for himself of others. During shooting drills and game play, his ability to space the floor and knock down open jumpers proved that he could fill it up quickly when he is on the floor. His skill at playing both positions made him one of the best players on the floor Sunday at LSUS.
Braylen Clark Braylen Clark 5'8" | PG Evangel | 2024 State LA (5’10” | Evangel | 2024) – Clark has been one of the better point guards in northwest Louisiana since his freshmen season. At the Uncommon exposure camp, he showed that he could be a floor general on the next level. His command of the offense during 4-on-4 and other game play situations displayed a floor leader at its finest. He found players in transition and in the half court consistently. His shooting was more consistent as well. When it came to point guard play, he really was the best one on the day.
Jaden Williams Jaden Williams 6'1" | CG Carroll | 2025 State LA (6’2″ | Carroll | 2025) – During the high school season, Williams is a play who facilitates and defers to others. On Sunday, Jaden displayed what he could do as a primary option on the floor. During game play, Williams showed he knew how to space the floor and spot up. He also displayed his ability to drive and finish. Jaden has become a better defender as well which allowed him to get into transition from steals. Williams is vastly improved and he showed that he will be a key offensive threat for the Bulldogs this season.
Blane Parish Blane Parish 6'7" | C Buckeye | 2024 State LA (6’7″ | Buckeye | 2024) – Parish is one of the most versatile big men that we have in Louisiana because of his skill set. His ability to play inside and outside made defenders work extra hard during the Uncommon exposure camp. Parish is the perfect example of a stretch four type player. He can make jumpers consistently out to 19’9″ and he is strong enough to play with his back to the basket. Knowing how to score over each shoulder and how to make a jumper makes Blane a threat at many spots on the hardwood.
Isiah Jones (6’3″ | Peabody | 2025) – Jones proved to be the most explosive player at LSUS on Sunday. His vertical jump and explosion to the rim was shown on his aggressive drives in the half court and transition. He also had several chase down blocks displaying not only his vertical, but his speed as well. When Jones improves the consistency of his jumper, he will be a threat that teams will have to game plan for. He is a player who has a ton of upside.
Jacob Vilar (6’2″ | Episcopal of Acadiana | 2024) – Vilar is a top tier shooter in Louisiana and he displayed it time and time again Sunday. He is a player who can shoot from the mid-range and deep with equal accuracy. Creating space with the dribble is one of his better traits. Jacob is methodical with his rim attacks and has a deceptively quick first step. His overall game helps him keep players off balance while scoring at a high volume. His play on Sunday was truly indicative of that.
Preston Sanders Preston Sanders 6'2" | CG Zwolle | 2025 State LA (6’0″ | Zwolle | 2025) – Sanders is an explosive guard who used the Uncommon exposure camp to solidify himself as one of the top guards in the 2025 class. His man-to-man defensive skills along with his driving ability showed how athletic he is and how well he could get to the rim. Sanders can get downhill with the best guards in the state and is a high level offensive threat.
Look for these players to be on the recruiting boards of various schools from their play at Uncommon. Coach Vanlandingham is good with his evaluations and they have helped various players get to the next level. Hopefully some players from Sunday will have the same success.
