This class features many talented power forwards looking to make noise this upcoming season. Here are my top power forwards for the 2024 class part II.
Moore is a terrific inside-the-arc scorer who will look to dominate the painted area throughout an entire game. He is swift and mobile on his feet at 6’9″ making him a matchup nightmare for taller and slower players. Moore attacks the rim with force and uses his impressive athleticism to go sky-high for dunks and rebounds. He can guard multiple positions and moves his feet laterally making him a great hybrid defender.
Curry is a mobile forward who works the midrange game well with his size and speed. He runs the pick-n-pop to near perfection as he seems to always create that extra bit of space to get open on the jump shot. He has a high release making it difficult to get a good contest. On pick-n-rolls, he rolls to the rim nicely seemingly always getting himself in a good position to receive the pass under the rim. Curry can even handle the ball and will look to use it on weaker defenders.
Vassell is an athletic rim-running machine that is handful to handle on the defensive end. With his speed and athleticism, he can attack the rim at will looking to throw it down over anyone in his way. He has a soft touch around the rim and can finish with both hands. Vassell can sky in for rebounds and can catch lob passes off pick-n-rolls to the basket. He can stand stout in the paint on defense and can move well laterally at 6’9″.
Syndor is a versatile forward who will look to use his athleticism to attack the rim with force. He can spread the floor out nicely with his smooth jump shot from downtown. He can shoot on fastbreak situations knocking down the pull-up three with ease. Syndor will use his tight handles to get inside the painted area to score around the rim. He can guard multiple positions and can send your shot into the bleachers if you dare test him off the dribble.
Domingo can play both sides of the ball at a high level with his quickness and elite skillset around the rim. At 6’6″ he attacks the rim almost every possession and can score over multiple defenders. He has excellent handles at his size and can hit step-back shots from beyond the arc making him a 3-level offensive threat. Domingo can use his long arms to intercept passing lanes leading to more fastbreak opportunities for his team.
