Alta
This duo might rival almost any duo in the state and not because they will score the most points combined but because they will do the little things to win. Jaxon will sacrifice scoring to make the right read and pass the ball up to get an easier bucket. Ace will do the same thinga s he breaks down defenders he could score the ball with ease but will dump it off to get others involved, but do not get it twisted they will both take over and give out buckets. Jaxon has big time size and shooting ability. If you take away one aspect of his game he can go down the line and use other things in his arsenal. Ace brings a whole other problem when it comes to a game plan because he can go off scripts and use that creative play to get what the defense is giving him. He is hard to bottle up for sure.
Olympus
Best backcourt in the state? They could be and if you do not know what these two can do you might be living under a rock for sure. Both players have made their decisions and will be playing at the D1 level. One will be local and one will head to the best academic school in the country. One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of IQ that you will see out there on the floor. Jordan Barnes Jordan Barnes 6'4" | PG Olympus | 2024 State UT is one of the best high IQ PG’s in the state and he does a lot of that high IQ-ing on the defensive side of the ball. Jordan racks up steals, that lead to easy buckets all game long. Jordan is going to stat stuffer. Dutch has added so much to his game ove rthe years and that size and shooting is just going to be a problem. Look for him to go crazy this season for sure. The way he can shoot and defend just amkes a killer combo ofr Dutch and this duo.
Highland
Highland is more stacked than they get credit and we could have come up with different players ot add to this list like Sefa or even big George but this guard combo is going to be tough. When you factor in what Drisdom can do with the bal in his hands, he is going to suck in defenders and it s going to leave shooters and bigs open when their man comes over and helps. Look for Drisdom to put up double digits. Lambson on the other hand can flat out shoot. Not you have a few bigger player sthat might require some help which means is he stays active he is going to get some good look and if he does he is going to sink them for sure. this guard duo is going to be tough and Highland is built for a big run.
Brighton
A lot of growth in that Brighton squad and these two have experienced that growth and they lookto pass it along to the players that will come in and get minutes and the players that are new to the program. Nash is a clever player that knows how to get into the lane and he has to be one of the best foul drawing guard as he makes a killing in the paint and at the free-throw-line. Pair an attacking guard with a great shooter you will be able to put together a solid duo and that is what we will see over at Brighton with these two.
