Marcus Issac
I saw some good things from Issac. The wide shoulder big has a ton of potential. He runs well and was able to rebound the basketball at a high level. His ability to clean the glass and finish around the rim made him one of the more promising young bigs I saw.
Amaya Ribbens
Amaya Ribbens
Everytime I looked up, Ribbens was bringing a rebound down. She was perhaps the best natural rebounder I saw at the event, showing the ability to clean the class both in traffic and out of area. She made the most of every board she gathered as she scored off several putbacks, making her a double double machine throughout the week.
Simean Quintero
Simean Quintero
Really enjoyed watching Quintero play. The big man played with a ton of Moxie and had a knack for making clutch shots for his team both from the three point line and the free throw line. Perhaps more of a hybrid but he spent quite a bit of time scoring in the frontcourt.
Evan Lind
Evan Lind
Lind was part of a really talented YA frontcourt. He wasn’t afraid to mix it up, grabbing a ton of tough boards. It felt like Lind thrived on toughness, as he also managed to finish several tough shots around the basket in the game I saw.
Darrien Davis
Darrien Davis
Davis is an intriguing player. He’s a big rugged guy, however he showed a soft touch. He scored a couple buckets around the rim, however he is very capable of stretching his game out further. He had a showed great form on his free throws, looking natural and like a player capable of being a faceup threat.
Lucas Alverado
Lucas Alverado
Alverado was perhaps the best defender I saw all weekend. I saw him in multiple games, and each time he made a tremendous impact on the defensive side of the ball. He showed terrific instincts, continuously jumping passing lanes for steals. His activity and energy, earned him all tournament team honors.
Domino Moore
Domino Moore
Bigger faster stronger is probably the best way to describe Moore this weekend. He has an advanced frame, and had no problem using it to bring contact to defenders. Time and time again, Moore shredded defenders, en route to finishing at the rim. The forward put the power in forward, helping the Skyriders take home the 14U crown, winning MVP honors in the process.

I recently helped a kid get a scholarship simply because a coach saw him on film cleaning up the benches after the game. Similarly, Henson showed me something at a time when it seemed like no one was watching. With his team way behind and the game seemingly over, the guard just kept competing. He played tough hard nose D and wasn’t afraid to sacrifice his body regardless of the score. He is the embodiment of a player understanding that there is always someone’s always watching.
