A high-flying guard prospect, Brown has a chance to put up huge numbers for Emmanuel Christian this winter after they lost a couple talented players to transfer out, most notably Jerry Easter II. With more shots available, Brown could put up big time scoring numbers as Emmanuel Christian tries to defend their TAAC championship. Many small college programs have already offered Brown with offers from Edison State, Ohio Northern, Gordon, Mount Aloysius, Cornell College, Defiance and Albion this month.

Another high academic guard prospect, Foster is in a different situation compared to Brown. While Brown is seeing his scoring opportunities rise, Foster has joined Walnut Ridge and will be playing in more marquee games this winter as a senior. Walnut Ridge will compete for the Columbus City Championship with the addition of Foster and freshman Deon Johnson Deon Johnson 6’3″ | PG Walnut Ridge | 2027 State OH to join Dominique Aekins Dominique Aekins 5’8″ | PG Walnut Ridge | 2024 State OH . I could see Foster making some big shots in key games for the Scots this winter and becomming a household name in central Ohio.

The surprise run of the OHSAA playoffs last year was Toledo St John’s winning their region and making a trip to Dayton for the state final four. They graduated some key pieces from that team but still have a lot of talent on their roster with guys like Jalen Murphy set to breakout this year. A long and versatile defender, Murphy will likely draw the opposing teams best guard scorer next season. With his shot making ability you could also see his scoring numbers improve as a senior as well.
The second TAAC guard on this list, Majors had a really strong showing at the Toledo Top 64 and showed a preview of what fans can expect by the winter. I thought Majors was confident as a scorer and with the returning talent Maumee Valley has combined with their schedule, Majors will have plenty of opportunities to make headlines this winter.
Walker had his breakout game last year against Sierra Canyon on the big stage in Nationwide Arena. After helping lead STVM to an upset win that night, fans in attendance saw what Walker could do that night. With the graduation of a couple talented guards, Walker and transfer Noah Chambers will form a new look back-court for the Irish. As always, STVM plays one of the toughest schedules in the state so there will be plenty of opportunities for Walker to shine on the big stage once again.
