With games getting started in November all the games that teams have won previous to this do not count regardless how good of a win it was or how bad of a loss it was. Teams look to get things started on the right foot. Here are some news and notes heading into the season.
Uncommitted Talent
Here is a list of players that are still on the board that have major talent.
Look for Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT to make a decision soon as he has an impressive list left to choose from between BYU, USC, Utah and stanford this high academic shooting forward has some great choices. Teammate Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT has some solid options but he is a player that might pick up more traction this season. Then you have recent transfer Derelle Desire who will enter his first year at Corner Canyon and he might be the one piece that sets them apart from other 6A schools. He does have D1 offers and interest but he is another player that will garner more attention as the season gets started. Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT is another player that has big time upside as a true center that plays with his back to the basket. Could land at a D1 if he sees fit.

Top Teams Preview
When it comes to high school talent there is no shortage of great teams. You have Dixie who can play with anyone. Then youhave Alta who is likely favored to win 5A. American Fork has reloaded with talent and so has Corner Canyon. Then you have teams that can make noise like Olympus, Snow Canyon, Layton just to name a few.
The talent doesn’t stop there as teams like Utah Prep have put together a solid team and so has Wasatch Academy. Do not sleep on teams like Layton Christian Academy.
More Transfers
A few players have decided to make a change and a few other have simply moved. Here are some notable transfers.
Anthony Felesi Anthony Felesi 6'6" | CG Utah Prep | 2026 State UT the #1 player in the Class of 2026 has made it official as he has enrolled at Utah Prep and has really bolstered that teams roster as they will be playing a monster schedule.
Ty Cogswell another rising junior has enrolled at Lone Peak and it really makes that team deeper and it gives them size while a few of their top players return from injury.
Easton Ralphs Easton Ralphs 6'7" | PF Davis | 2024 State UT move to Davis High School is also a notable move as he will provide some must needed size.
Off the Board
The #2 player in the Class of 2024 and the #1 home grown Utah native has decided to head West to USC where he will join a team that is building a strong recruiting class. USC has done a great job preparing players to be pro’s. Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT joinS Liam Campbell and Trent Perry two players that he knows well as they look to be the next list of high level players to sign with USC.
