There were over 50 players competing at this Nebraska Top 250-Expo last weekend in Bellevue, Nebraska. Each player brought to the floor their own specific skill set, while attempting to help lift their perspective teams to victory in the very end. The individuals that I have highlighted below are all ones that demonstrated throughout the day that they are varsity-level players, who are sure to be productive on the floor in some facet this winter.

#675 - [player_tooltip player_id='1855239' first='Henry' last='Spann'] - 2025 - 6'3 - CG/SF - Elkhorn South High School

The first note that I had written down in real time about [player_tooltip player_id='1855239' first='Henry' last='Spann'] and his game is that he has the size and strength of a football player but moves really well for that size. He seems to float in the air when going up for rebounds and does a good job on each possession of showing his athleticism in unique ways. On multiple occasions at this Expo, Spann was out rebounding his opponent and making the most of his opportunities when the ball was rotated to him on the offensive side of things. When he kept it simple, it all worked out for the best for both himself and his team. Spann is a strong player with a fundamental game. He could have some success because of that this winter at Elkhorn South but only time will tell.

#631 - [player_tooltip player_id='1253974' first='Marquis' last='Toliver'] - 2024 - 6'0 - PG - Creighton Prep High School

This may have been the first time that I have seen [player_tooltip player_id='1253974' first='Marquis' last='Toliver'] compete but I can tell from a small sample size that he is a guard that is highly-skilled offensively. He has the versatility to play the 1 or the 2 position but his best ability is when the ball is in his hands, coming down the floor as the Point Guard. On Sunday, Toliver displayed a little bit of everything out there on the court. Like I said, he was at his best with the ball in his hands attacking but he did a consistent job of getting others involved, making things happen for his team in one way or another each possession. I'm not sure of Creighton Prep's varsity roster this winter but I know Toliver can bring some production to the floor. Hopefully he can show that off this upcoming season.

#683 - [player_tooltip player_id='2224488' first='Sutton' last='Piatkowski'] - 2026 - 6'5 - SF - Elkhorn North High School

[player_tooltip player_id='2224488' first='Sutton' last='Piatkowski'] has length, athleticism, and a high motor on both sides of the ball. On multiple occasions I saw Piatkowski jumping up 2, 3, even 4 times to get a rebound or put-back for his team. His second and third jump capabilites off of the ground are impressive. It happens very fast and it doesn't take long for him to "clean up a mess" on the glass. Not to mention, once he has time in the post to make a move with his back to the basket, it's usually goes in a majority of the time. Not knowing anything else about Piatkowski other than what I saw briefly at this event, he has some potential in this sport. He needs to show his dominance a little bit more my liking but for an individual walking into his Sophomore season of high school ball, he is in a good spot right now.

#615 - [player_tooltip player_id='1580083' first='Ammi' last='Williams'] - 2025 - 5'10 - PG - Bellevue East High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1580083' first='Ammi' last='Williams'] has an overall game that is complete and really nice from all of my accounts at this events. Williams is only 5'10 but plays the PG position to a T. I could say that he is good enough to move to the 2 spot at any given moment as well but if you need a trust-worthy person to have the ball in the biggest moment of a game, I would give it to Williams and watch him work. He makes sound, fundamental choices while not forcing any offensive action. Defensively, I would say that he is just as complete. A guard that jumps into passing lanes at just the right moments, is someone who understands risk/reward to a T. He knows when he should look to go for a steal or sit back and let the offense come to him. Williams can bring production to the floor and I can't wait to see that this winter at Bellevue East High School.
